Well to be fair FemHawke will not have hairy legs so why should maleHawke have a hairy chest.
What's your source for this vicious rumor?

NO!
I get a thread full of people discussing manHawke's body in a relatively mature and rational manner. So it seems that I will have to provide the thing that I came here expecting, so that others coming here looking for it will not be disappointed
I give you, Hawk's weird baby torso:

I agree with this; I'd prefer it if a mage Hawke were noticeably slimmer and less-muscley than a warrior. Actually, I'd prefer if all the classes had their own models (mages = skinny, warriors = buff, rouges = between mages and warriors), but that's probably wishful thinking.

Not necessarily true. As discussed above, some people are just blessed with good genetics. The model's abs are not ridiculously ripped or overly defined, same with the rest of the musculature. I've known a couple of guys like that. And as another person here said, her husband/boyfriend has a body a lot like the model's and it's just from a lot of hard work (not time at the gym). Anyway, this is getting a bit silly. It seems some folks are feeling inadequate in comparison to a video game character (maybe that's nice because finally there is some male insecurity to match the oversized bosom issue). If you want to have a talk about unrealistic male bodies in video games, pull up images of Chris Redfield from RE5 and take it to the off-topic forum. Checking out of this thread. OP may need to research what a man who spends some time at the gym and watches what he eats looks like.
Yea, no.
No Ordinary Human being can look like Male Hawke unless they're paid to do so (Male models)
Going to the Gym 3 times a week and eating healthy will not get you that Body.
LAWLS. Honestly first time I came into the thread I was expecting the same. Funny photoshop job; +1.Conall Cameron wrote...

Nobody, anywhere, is "blessed" with those hip creases.
You don't get them by being in good shape or by losing weight or by generalized working out. You get them only by focused development of muscles that are not really used for anything else, and they become as prominent as you see them in bodybuilding competitions or beefcake photography (or the Dragon Age cgi) only if the bearer has temporarily dehydrated himself to make the skin hug the muscle.
They are the ultimate in fitness as visual display rather than as function.

I actually kind of like the idea of mage Hawke being buff. One more reason why he isn't the stereotypical mage... which is one more reason I'll be playing as a mage.

*sigh* Those "hip creases" are the Apollo's belt. It's not gained through weight lifting, but through cardio and abdominal exercises. They are a natural development for anyone who does a lot of physical exercise involving the core.
That's why virtually every male dancer you ever meet has them. I don't know where you get your information, but it is grossly inaccurate. They are something you just get if you work out. Anybody can get them - the more defined is a combination of exercise and genetics. Male Hawke is not "dehydrated" - he clearly has the body of someone who does a lot of exercise, eats a decent amount of protein and has a low body-fat ratio, which given the likely diet of Ferelden's people - mainly vegetables, grains and smaller portions of meat compared to our lifestyle - is very likely.
I need to stress this - no amount of weight lifting develops the Apollo's belt. It is purely from core exercises like ab exercises and cardio training. The whole dehydration thing is not accurate at all. Particularly for the DA body types which show soft definition rather than hard.

Lol - not really. Most guys can get them. They usually develop before your six-eight pack does.
But they look kind of weird if you don't have a flat(ish) abdomen as well...

It's not really the same. Many women find chest hair quite desirable. I'm personally hoping to sport something in the vein of Pierce Brosnan one day.

Chest hair separates actual men from children.. or at least that's what I was "brought up" to believe. I see a guy without chest hair and it makes me wonder if he's gone through puberty yet.

You're right, a buff mage is cool; I guess what I meant was that I'd like a mage that is skinny when compared to rogue and (especially) warrior Hawkes. So not objectively skinny, relatively skinny.

This is the best pic of what I'm trying to say; in the Dresden Files books (especially in later ones, after he starts running regularly) the protagonist Harry Dresden, a wizard, is thin but as you can see, he's not skeletal.
