I just checked the Gamestop order that I placed on OCTOBER 15th and it's now listed as "backorded".  Yet they have plenty of the standard versions.

Thanks EA for screwing over those who placed an order before the $10 price hike.  They complain about piracy, yet are giving a compelling reason to do it.

Actually nevermind, I called Gamestop to see what was up, and it was actually what I had hoped was up.  It's backordered for anyone trying to order it now as well as those who tried getting it right before the promotion was over with.  Those who ordered it really early are secured.

I'm pretty sure I picked the cheapest postage option so I',m not expecting to get the game on the da of release.  UK rlease date is the 11th, so I think I will get it on the 14th at hte earliest - I will be working that day anyway so doubtless won't get it until I get home anyway.  Not going to panic about it though.

Well, I'd be quite disappointed since I'd have to wait for it for another week until I get home from school again, poor me. But it's just a game (ehm...The game), I don't think I wouldn't be able to sleep because of it.
