I run (2) GeForce GTX 580s in my machine. I didn't run the demo in SLI mode, just DX 11 mode at 2560x1600 on a Dell 30" monitor... the demo ran fine... no lag... not a single crash...

Now, my roommate who has the EXACT same machine, but only has a GTS 250.. he couldn't run that in DX11/10 mode at all... even on low unless he dropped the rez to 1280x800. He was forced to run on DX9 mode.

From what I can see, the DX11 in the demo isn't polished.. it's slow and clunky, and it takes a REAL powerhouse to pull it off...at max settings @ 2560x1600.

The only think I don't see is that I keep hearing that playing the demo unlocks something in DA2.. well I played EVERY character so far in the demo and I have not seen any messages that I have unlocked anything... :/

1) There is a sticky in this forum. DX11 is not supported in the demo - so it is not surprising that it did not work for your roommate, though you are luckier. I will not be the same in the full game.

2) Check your registered promotions on this forum - that is where you see if you have unlocks.
