Can someone direct me to the post that answers the following questions:
1)Why do qunari never wear shirts? are their quinari nipples are inmune to cold?
2)They where the "bronze skinned giants" right? why are they grey now?

Don't mock the Battle Cattle.  You'll get the horns.  Seriously, except for the really awful redesign of the elves, this was one of the stupidest changes of DA2.  Personally, I want to see them 'evolve' further into talking cattle.  I want one to ride into combat for DA3.

It's quite obvious your questions answer each other -- qunari are not immune to cold. That's why they are grey and not bronze skinned now -- because they're cold.

So was Sten actually not full grown or this is just a retcon on the Qunari appearance? Like that of Flemeth.

I read somewhere in the manual that some of the Qunari are born without them and are often with the Ben-Hassaroth. Spelling?

I actually liked the change to the Qunari. Prior to the release of the game I did not expect to, but I felt the change reflected their personalities very well. Mind you, I kind of preferred them as a human offshoot just because it made the setting less "fantastic" and more mundane - which is good to have in a "darker" fantasy world. (just as I felt the "Song of Ice and Fire" series lost something when, in the latter books, magic became far more prevalent)

Still, overall I was happy with the change and should be disappointed were they to make an about face and change them back in a later game. (On the same account, I'm glad elves were less human looking this time around as well ... if you're going to have fantasy races in a setting, they should *look* like fantasy races, not just bigger humans, or humans with pointy ears)

Whether a saarebas,a sten or the mighty Arishok himself, the qunari are a people to be respected. Or feared.

Check out the full QUNARI PAGE for more information, screenshots and concept art.

This question has probably already been asked so I apologize for the repeat question but why change the look of the Qunari from Da:O to what they are in Da2?

They weren't completely changed.

There are both horned Kossith (Arishok) and hornless Kossith (Sten). The hornless ones are uncommon and considered meant for great roles in Qunari society, and thus are usually sent as envoys or placed in the Ben-Hassrath.

Also, this was apparently the intended look for the Qunari, but they couldn't implement it into DAO. It helps that they could implement it now though since it explains why Ogres have horns since they come from Qunari broodmothers. David Gaider did say a year ago that should Sten reappear, he would be slightly different looking. bear in mind this was a year ago so things may have changed, but I guess they want the hornless Qunari to have their own look.

By that I mean you could still say "hey Sten!" and also be able to say "hey a hornless Kossith!" instead of "Hey a tall human with Spock ears!".

David Gaider wrote...

If you met Sten now he would no doubt look different.

Would he have horns? No, he would not. We are telling you that not all qunari have horns. Is that different than what you saw before? Yes it is. We never said then that qunari could have horns, but neither did we say they couldn't. In this case both appearances are possible.

Though, all I really want to see Sten have is a goatee of white hair on his face. Maybe a more muscular build and a slightly younger face. Personally, I think Sten's going to be the new Arishok and he'll be the Qunari equivalent of Hugh.

Tal-Vashoth also remove their horns when they leave the Qun. Since we couldn't see any horned Qunari in DAO due to the engine (I think), we couldn't see any Tal-Vashoth with anything to indicate they removed their horns. However, this doesn't mean all the Tal-Vashoth we saw were horned Kossith. There could have been hornless ones among them.

I think it's important to consider that Sten is a rank... Our Sten from DA:O could have been given a new roll after making his report. All I'm saying is that it's possible XD Here's hoping for a tal-vashoth companion in DA3!

i hope we can create characters in DA3 again, and Qunari (or Tal Vashoth, whatever) are a race choice.

i mean come on, how would that NOT be awesome?

The change or redesign of the Qunari was one of the few things I liked about DA2 but they all looked a little copy pasted though. There must be some Qunari clone factory in Thedas.

I think what might be interesting is to have some kind of campaign for DA2 surrounding the Qunari, almost like Darkspawn Chronicles from Origins or maybe just an exploration of their homeland. Something to understand them more. I feel like there's so much we don't know about them.

Could it be possible that there are other Kossiths besides the Qunari and the Tal'Vasoth? What I mean't is that could there be an older order before the ideas of the Qun were created?

A Tal'Vasoth is a word for any Kossith that doesn't follow the Qun. It's like the term 'heathen.'

But the Qunari recognize that there were Kossith previous to the establishment of the Qun who had a culture, beliefs, and society. They might still exist.

We don't even know why the Qunari traveled to Thedas.

The term "Tal'Vasoth" means those who have abandoned or rejected the Qun, meaning that they quit or leave the Qunari, thus Tal'Vasoth are the traitors/outcast of the Qun. So a Kossith that was not born within the Qunari society are not considered Tal'Vasoth, but Basra/Bas(outsider or those not within the Qun)

Can't help but wonder if we were being mocked... the fanbase endlessly asking for 'a female qunari' to appear in-game! Then:

(MotA SPOILERS)
...Tallis is revealed to technically be a qunari, after which Cassandra immediately reminds us that "[they] are not a race; they are a religion".
(SPOILER ENDS)

We should be asking for a female kossith.
