The qunari

Communist would destroy nations in seconds if it meant no reprecussion.
Not only that, Communism serves to leave power in the hands of the few at the top while creating a false sense of stability in the bottom.
In communism, the leaders are still living like capatilists.
The Quinari are nothing like modern day communists.
First of all, the Quinari could just as easily raid nations with poison gas they are immune to, and then take over everything. The Quinari could, just as easily, have corruption.
First of all, the Quinari is a society created through philosophy. They seem to me, to be more tribal in nature, following rituals. However they are more philosophical. You either agree with the Qun, or you do not. I don't see why anyone should bother defending itself.
You see, in the world of Dragon Age, if the Quinari were not strong enough to defend themselves against rebels who disagreed with their views, then they would not be. Their organism is too strong, wether you disagree with its strength or not is purely your own problem.
Dragon Age 3 should be about wether or not the player wants to invade and destroy the Quinari, by siding with either the remnants of the Tevinter Imperium or becoming part of the Qun, or destroying both and making their own empire, with their own rules. That'd be the best game.

Well a wide variety of political ideologies would work if the ones in charge did not 'cheat' the system so to speak, that includes communism, socialism and certainly capitalism.
As for the Qunari, I see them as total phonies who hold close totheir beliefs when it is convenient and throw them out the window when that is convenient. In other words they are much like Communists, socialist and Capitalists.

Well, they are mortal beings after all. I do not see this as you do, but maybe you're right. Maybe I have too much respect for them because their huge bad asses that dont feel the need to defend their ideals at every turn. They don't take no **** from no one. They simply are, and accept the consequences. Or they are not.
But this is just from viewing there warriors, I've never seen the other parts of their society portrayed in game. Which is why I'm hoping Dragon Age 3 expands upon them more. Hahahaha!

The thing is, as far as we can see, the Qunari aren't humans.Darian Tylmare wrote...
Well the problem with the Qun is that it tries to surpress parts of the human psyche.
I'd suspect that while humans evolved as pack animals, Qunari may have been herd animals, accepting every member of the same species, where the only kind of social change is when males compete for females - other than that, every animal just grazes in the herd and that's that. So it's quite possible that the Qun works very nicely for Qunari psychology, but they're trying to apply it to humans as well. This is a problem.

Sten hints at that back in Origins during Coronation.

Their society doesn't send out there females out as their limbs, eyes, feet, hands.
All you ever see are warriors, and those are males.

Agreed. The Chantry should be wiped from the face of the Earth. Long live the Qun!

Minority? Maybe. Alone? No. The Qun is superficially attractive, with its absolute, unchanging certainty, but thank goodness we didn't need the Qunari to fight the blight in DA:O.Killjoy Cutter wrote...

Go back to Origins and have some more campfire conversations with Sten ... you will not see women anywhere but Par Valla (sp) that is where they belong and that is where they will stay ... do your homework! I am sure at some point we will explore ALL of Thedas including The Qun in detail, they are on a decent path to helping us explore Thedas and my guess is Orlais is next.

Seeing the trailer and how the Qunari are d**ks troughout the entire story it's much easyer to redecorate the town in Qunari blood when you dont have to kill prety girls.

I hope they come up with a reasonable explanation of their new satyr-esque appearance or this is going to be one of the biggest continuation errors in gaming history. They are just meant to be like tall dark-skinned humanoids(eg.Sten), they look like demons or darkspawn now.
