Odd. Sten called them beasts, no better than animals.

That was him pitying them. We didn't get a chance to hear him honoring them. :P

But he said it with vitriol.

Well him being an "upper class" warrior that would kind of make sense. And also who knows sten had to go through with them. (maybe his loved ones died at the hands of one of them transformed in an abomination and that's why he shows so few emotions)

Well, the most obvious explanation is that generalizations are generalizations.

A Qunarihuman would be the neatest. They have waged war against us for a long time right? Unless their caste system has really constrained them to be complete automatons, I'm sure there must have been cases of rape at some point in all that war. Though, it's also possible that a human/elf/dwarf female would die trying to give birth to what is probably a really, really large baby. :P

Hmm could have gone the other way around too and i'm sure a female Qunari would be able to birth such a baby

Sten was supposed to be our average qunari. Or introductory into the Qun. His feelings were the feelings of the Qunari at large. :?

My understanding is the female Qunari stay at home in Par Vollen, cooking and cleaning. Since it's the Qunari that invaded Thedas, I don't see much oppurtunity for human/dwarf/elf males to live out their satyr fantasies on sexy Qunari lasses. :P

I have to question that cause he largely disapproves of the celebrations that he's fellow Qunari do. But for those celebrations to be the debauchery he describes there has to be sizeable chunk of the population that have more emotions than an robot.

No, that was his purpose. Word of Mary, and Word of Toolset. I don't think he outright disapproved of them, but he's very reserved.

Well why not an escaped Female Qunari who didn't want to be treated in such a way and wanted to discover the world?

I wonder if there'll be an option where you can side with qunari and follow the qun. I'd like to try at least once~

Wait. Horns? When did the Qunari get horns? Do they all have horns? Did they have them the whole time? Is this some kind of Retcon? Just saying I don't remember Sten having horns, or any of the dozens of Qunari mercs I end up killing in DA:O and A.

Neat. Remind me a lot of the Seanchan from Jordan's Wheel of Time books but are definitely shaping up to be more interesting than they were in Origins (Sten aside).

Considering the way the Qunari approach breeding for specific purposes, I imagine female Qunari mages are prime breeding stock to produce more and more living weapons.

Assuming, of course, the Qunari have noticed whether or not magic is an inheritable trait. :P

The point still stands that quite a lot of his country men are more prone to show emotion than he is and i think they aren't as "clony" as he may lead us to believe.

You only meet one qunari, Sten. We know that the qunari we see in his dream is not exactly what they were like.

I think we saw too much of their culture through the eyes of Sten who is only but an individual and i hope we can relate with a broader set of Qunari this time around.

They "always" had horns, just that the DA:O art budget couldn't support it (which is why the Ogres had horns, natch).  Sten AND ALL THE QUNARI MERCENARIES have been explained as the 10% of the population that is hornless mutants, but are fully accepted in the socialist Qun society and are more frequently used as diplomats (and spies like our Sten) since they are less disconcerting to the poor humans.

Pay no attention to the retcon behind the curtain...

I'm curious to how qunari mages feel about their situation. Do they feel it deserved due to constant social pressures to accept it, or do they oddly rebel against it? Can't wait to find out.

If it's a retcon, at least it's a clever one. They cut off their horns to identify themselves as Tal'Vashoth. Sounds good to me.
