I'm curious to how qunari mages feel about their situation. Do they feel it deserved due to constant social pressures to accept it, or do they oddly rebel against it? Can't wait to find out.
Since I believe magic manifests itself at a young age, I imagine the way the Qunari treat their mages mean they are treated like cattle from an early age. Can such a person, brought up like that, even grasp the concept of rebellion?

Well he might get a grasp if he sees others in a situation same to his who do rebel (irl example : look at what's happening in northern Africa.)kjdhgfiliuhwe wrote...

as explained you have specific role within the qunari society
it dictates what your life is where you live what you do the qunari have fully inbraced such a society to the point where an "individual" basicaly does not exist take sten his name is what he does he is what he does he doesnt do his job because he believes in it he IS his job his whole ambition in life is to be the perfect servant
in fact he seems to get confused when you mention someone wanting to be more then they are, doing their own thing, this is because the followers of the qun are not like a normal person every aspect of there lives are dictiated by someone else it is out of their hands
even if you show skill in a certain area you have no control over that someone else decides what you should do and what you do is who you are thats what the qun is production of living machines

Wait a second. Sten didn't have horns. Am I missing something here?

You must have been away for a while, we've known that the Qunari have horns since the first screen shots came out. Officially, it has been stated that Sten and hornless-qunari like him are a special kind of qunari who are born without horns. These qunari are given special status with their society, and are usually sent out into the world as scouts and ambassaders, because they look more like the native populaces.

why are they under the Creatures in steed of being under Characters I know it not a big deal but still it would be nice.
Because, that's what they are. Didn't you read your Chantry-approved scripture?

edit: "The qunari pity and honor the saarebas, for striving while under
constant threat from within is truly selfless, the highest virtue of the
Qun." cool... sten never mentioned that despite abuse and torment towards qunari mages, they are still a proud and honored part of their culture...

We need some fan art of what a female Qunari might look like!
Actually, nevermind. As someone who tries to avoid too much info so as not to ruin the actual gaming experience on Tuesday, I hadn't realized Bioware has actually released concept art for female Qunari already. They don't look like they'd be content "in the kitchen" so to speak, as Sten so graciously laid down the law.
Maybe Dragon Age 3 can be about female liberation in Par Vollen!
Who knows? Maybe they are happy in the kitchen?!
I for one like the new look, it's ace. And their culture is interesting. I actualy made my character go to qunari-lands in the end of the first game.
