Topic. Just curious if theres a way to change the starting weapon for the human noble. I find it very odd that someone of royal blood starts off with a shield on their back. It just seems wierd to me especially since it seems nobody wants you to be in the war at all. So is there any way to change that?
Change starting weapon/clothes?

Well you can get the Cousland Family Sword. Unless you mean you'd like to start with no weapons, and just fancy clothes. I'd like that option too

Ya I agree. Especially as the daughter :x I mean I'm all for her kicking ass, but I wouldn't walk around all the time in leather armor if I were a noble. I guess maybe we're supposed to be just finishing some training or something, idk. I think our mother refers to being all sweaty after practice or something when you first talk to her.

I agree. I don't know how to change any of it, but at least for the Dwarven Noble, the armor and weapons make sense. For the human noble.. not so much. He/she should really just start with noble clothes and a dagger, or somesuch.
And, like, 10 extra gold.

Yeah it would make a lot more sense to have your character start out with like 10 gold. You are a noble afterall lol. Hmm I need to find out which file I need to edit to do this.

Can you imagine getting through the first part of the game with no armor and only a dagger until you either get the family sword, or are able to scavenge a weapon off someone?

Frankly, I'd be happy if the human noble origin was a little less... cliche. I mean, 20 minutes into it and EVERYONE IS DEAD. I'd have loved to have actually spent some time being a noble, but I guess the dwarves got that.

When the attack happens for human noble, you wake up and there is a chest next tot he door in your room. They could have set it so you had enough time to go to it and get your armour then open the door.

Shadow,
Agree with you, there.
Personally, I think there's a LOT of room for expanding the Human Noble origin. For one, there's a pretty glaring jump from there to Ostagar. They could easily have made a dungeon crawl out of the escape tunnel, not to mention fighting your way past Howe's men in the area surrounding the castle.
