We've had an old lady companion in Wynne, and she was well made and (somewhat) compelling.

Let's have an older gent this time! Not a mage tho... since that's the easy and cliched way. How about and older warrior, or even an older rogue? An opposite of Wynne, someone coldly cynical and world weary.

I'd love a Qunari companion. Maybe a rescued Saarebas. In general, I'd just love to see some companions from outside of the "normal" cultures of the game. A qunari, maybe a tevinter companion, or someone from Rivain, who could expand the lore on these disparate cultures through discussion.

Admittedly it is just an appearance but the Dalish elf from the concept art development video. Though a city elf rogue would be cool to.

A Qunari would be interesting but hard to implement since there be so many NPC response dialogue needed for him/her.
