So in preperation for Dragon Age II I thought I'd go through Golems -> Witch Hunt again cause I skipped Golems my last playthroughs due to sheer boredom of it.

Now, as the topic indicates, it's not possible to import any characters from Origins/Awakening, they just get listed but class, time and locations are completely blank and can't be loaded.

I'm starting to remember why I stopped playing this game...
