Hi Guys,

So I just played the demo yesterday (Again:)) and I had just noticed that it was logging me into the wrong account! It's logging me into and old account I had MANY years ago (Its since been cancelled) and not logging me into my current one. Why is this? Is there a way to manually log into my current one?

This wouldn't be such a problem if I didn't have my game promotions (Thanks again BioWare ;)) such as the staff of Parathalan, the two tomes... registered to my current one!

P.S. A side question here but how do I add my PSN ID to my BioWare Social Network account?

Thanks!

Yeah I have the same problem even though my xbox hotmail account and ea one are different. Is there any way to manually change accounts in the demo or in DA2?

No, the account you played it on is deadlocked.
I wanted to change my account but i couldn't so i just go everything on the account that it is deadlocked on.
Sorry for being the bearer of bad news guys.

In the PC version, I was eventually able to find a "log out" option. It was a bit buried, but I believe it was somewhere under options. Can't speak for consoles though.

So basically I'm stuffed then? I'm playing on the PS3 btw.

Do you know why it is logging me into that account?

I don't have a PS3 myself, but I've heard that you register an EA account to your PSN ID (which is why the game is choosing that account automatically), and that it's possible to change what EA account you have set there.

Have you tried changing what e-mail address your PSN ID uses to the one your new EA account uses?

EDIT: Also, have you tried merging the two EA accounts on the Electronic Arts website?

Ahhh mate I need to do this!! I somehow managed to get my old password sent to my current e-mail address so I logged back into my old account and saw that I had registered my PSN ID to it!! This sucks as I have all my new EA stuff (Plus DA2 promotions!) to my current one!

I can't change the e-mail address because I'm using my current one, so EA just says that it's been used already.

How do I merge the two accounts?? If I merge them then will all the info be registered and use my current e-mail address? And will I then be able to get all my DA2 promotions when DA2 is released?

Sorry for all the questions but you have now raised my hopes :wizard::o!!

Thanks

It took some digging, since EA decided to redo their website (when I try to edit my profile I'm directed to www.ea.com/profile) and make it a real **** to get anything done, but I think I've figured out what to do.

So I think what you do is you go to
https://profile.ea.com/myprofile.do

Make sure you're logged onto your current/new account, and click on the "Add Persona" button.

From there choose "existing EA classic Screen Name", input the login information for your old account, and click "Add Persona".

That should be it.

EDIT:

Now, if I'm wrong, I can only recommend getting in touch with EA's customer support. Either their account/billing support, which can be reached through a telephone number listed on their website, or through their Contact Us form.

If merging doesn't work out, I know EA Support is able to move DLC entitlements between accounts. (Which, if you can just play the demo on your old account, could be all you really need right there.) If you need EA to change something on their end in order to associate your PSN ID with the new account, then I'd recommend trying them.

Kloreep is correct. For days I have been trying to link my 360 and PS3 to my EA account with no success. Even trying "Add Persona" button as mentioned by JediMB but with no luck.

I did found a solution from other website but for some reason, I can't seem to find it anymore. Indeed you need to involve EA Customer support to manually do this for you. I'll try to list the steps down one by one.

Steps:

(1) Go to http://www.ea.com/ and log in to your account. This should at the very botton of the page.

(2) Once logged in, click "Customer Support". If you can't find this...try this...http://support.ea.com/app/home/showhome/true

(3) Under support links, click "Contact Us"

(4) Fill in the blanks
For Products : Dragon Age II, Dead Space 2, etc.
For Platform Option: PS3, 360, PC, etc.
For Category Option: Choose "Technical Support"
For Sub Category Option: Choose "Error"

(5) New options will drop down when blanks are filled. You can either install unity web player (which I never did). Chat or email. I chose to simply email them

Below is what I wrote to them:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EA,

I CANNOT link my PS3 account. I have a Dead Space 2 Collectors edition that I have played twice already and still I did not get a code for the Ser Isaac's Armor Set for use for Dragon Age 2. PLEASE manually link my PS3 to my EA account ASAP. (within the next 24-48 hours please).

Information:

PS3 ID:
PS3 Email:
Login:
Date of Birth:
Zip Code:

Thanks,

Below was their response (next business day)

Thanks for all the help guys! Through a lot of Googling I found that EA had a live chat service so I got in contact with them and they transfered my PSN ID to my current account!

WARNING!!

The rep that helped me told me that if one tries to merge accounts you run the very high risk that you will lose you personnas from your previous account and make certain game (In my case the Sims 3) null and void!

So if you can try and get in contact with EA and have them transfer over your personnas for you!
