Lol, wow, this. It's funny, I was just thinking about this the other day. But I supose that is what mods are for... Like for example, my avatar right now. I loved this hairstyle, but it pained me that for my primary character, I couldn't have this hair even though Sten did....(...Gods, Sten truly is the avatar of what I can't have --) So for my first character, before I discovered mods, was bald, which was still nice because she was very beautiful, but to respond to your original post, I agree that it is kinda a drag not to have more hair choices for different hair types. Although I really don't want to think about how much time and energy it would take to create a hair style for F!Hawke which contained the detail of something like this:JetsoverEverything wrote...
... i just hate how they dont have good hair styles for black people in the game ...
(One of my good friends has hair like this **sigh** mine will never be as beautiful as that)
I'm white and my hair looks like that in the morning sometimes.
Stupid curly hair... used to be straight as could be.

Calling Aboriginal People Indians is incorrect. They are not Indian, nor are they of Indian decent. Christopher Columbus wrongfully called them Indians because the moron thought he travelled around the world and was in India.
I would think it's up to them to determine what they want to be called. I've heard "Aboriginal Americans" call themselves Indians. Are you going to tell them they're wrong?
They probably do it because of the ignorance of the white people who always calling them Indians.

Yes, but it's restricted to the given fantasy world and the lore within it. If you simply ignore these facts, I can say now that I'm a purple skinned drow elf who lives in mountainous caves and eats giant spiders for evening meal. Or I'm simply some white european guy who like fantasy. Which one of these two can only be true, given our world and our lore?
I'm still in mist about what kind of character I wish to play. I'd like to play some evil white skinned female mage, but also maybe a female black skinned goody two shoes warrior... Thank god for multiple playthrougs.
LOL I'm also African American but I think you went to far with Africa being the mother land or what not.
Africa has nothing to do with the world within DA. I'm glad you are making your Hawke black because I will make all my characters black also. Nothing wrong with it.
But Africa birthed the characters from DA? Seriously?

Statements like that are dangerously close to trolling, no need to start insulting people here.
That said, you're right, it was used incorrectly for centuries, so of course it stuck; what's your point? The fact of the matter is american Indians still use the term, so in our modern era it is no more or less acceptible than any of the alternatives out there. Arguing whether or not it should have been used initially is hardly useful.

I hate having to feel like I'm walking on eggshells when dealing with racial issues. Yes, we're sometimes different colors, but when it comes down to it are we really all that different? We all want the same things in the end, being succesful, having good things for our families, etc. We aren't all that different when it comes down to it, we just end up creating animosity amongst one another for absolutely no reason.Mr. Gerbz wrote...

No, clearly he is a samurai, or quite possibly a ninja. Have you seen the acrobatics in the demo?
Is the relative lack of black gymnasts because it's a little rich girl's sport? I've always assumed it was socio-economic reasons for this lack, but it'd be interesting to do an actual study. A physiological study would be interesting as well, though I know society really frowns on that type of thing as they tend to equate that with racism.

My director used to like saying "In the end, everyone's motivation boils down to this: 'To survive in a cruel world'. So go out there and survive!"
