@ Haus of Dye - I'm counting 4 hearts in that post. You like it that much? Frankly, I was disappointed by Blood Magic... :/
I can't fully explain why, I just do. I just hope the animations for it are better, but I'm happy so far.

Fair enough. I'll probably tinker with my build some more before release... I don't exactly want to give up on Blood Magic, so we'll see.Haus of Dye wrote...

I dunno--is he too much of a one-trick pony? I'm sorry not have more Disorient exploits, but I'm playing on nightmare, so I'm a little afraid of Walking Bomb.

I wonder if Hemmorage does FF
Don't think so and it doesn't look like the force mage abilities do either.

This is a pretty good build... as long as you're careful with Fist of the Maker. Also, keep in mind that Pull only lasts for 5 seconds (pointing that out just in case you missed it). Also, I would learn Heal, but I might just be paranoid, so feel free to ignore that. Anyway, I think it should work out nicely!
Wait... are allies immune to your knockdown attacks in Nightmare? Or is it based on their fortitude?

Actually I think I'm probably wrong about force mage. The wording is confusing but its similar to the wording used for normal abilities with FF so there's no reason that force mage would not be FF. I'd still be confident that Haemmorage is not FF though.

Thanks. I'm always going to have a second mage with me in this party, so I'll let them handle the healing as needed (depending on what healing spells it turns out Merrill can learn).
Merrill is going to go full Primal plus her unique tree, and Anders is going to go full Elemental plus his unique tree. My PC splits the difference with Lightning and Ice.

I rather think they are not immune. Other than my tank, though, I'm going to be running with my second mage and an archer, so they should be able to stay out of the way.

Really? Are you getting that from the wording of the power descriptions, or from something a dev has said? The descriptions do say "enemies" but the descriptions of some elemental spells that definitely do FF damage only talk about damaging "opponents" and "foes"

Same with the "offensive spell" categorization for Spirit Healer and Anders' spec.

Is there some clear denotation in the spell/talent descriptions that tells whether they do friendly fire or not, or are we just going to have to learn all of them by trial and error and/or the wiki?

Offensive spells are spells that do direct damage, including AoEs like firestorm.

How many specializations can you have in DA2? Is it one or two?
You still get spec points at 7 and 14, as before.

As I said there, the big question I have is whether Isabella can fit in that role as well with the Swashbuckler tree. I'd really love to see the full Isabella and Anders trees... please?

and with a terrible staff you will do terrible damage no matter what.
It's seem like you would need high magic, high willpower and high con to play a bloodmage something not possible. another broken talent tree, so far all 9 specialization looks extremly disapointing.

It's funny how everyone seem to forget that spell damage is always a multiplier of basic staff damage . If you put your point into constitution instead of willpower than you won't be able to wear mages equipment as all mage equipment will need high magic and high willpower score.

i wonder where you get this from. are you certain that mages need willpower to equip armor/staves? bloodmagic seems incredibly efficien .A ratio of 1 to 3 isnt something you can ignore. not to mention it seems to be entirely self supporting with the varies self heal abilities
