Oh man. I am really liking Blood Magic. I dunno what the optimal build for it will be but they seem they high risk high reward that mages should be turned to the extreme since paying with HP is always risky as you can get one shotted easily.
Getting at least one of the snares from Force wouldn't be a bad idea.

Have I been misreading the point requirements? The description for Bloodlust reads:2. Bloodlust
Requires: Level 11
Requires: Blood Magic
Points required in Blood Mage: 5
Since you get your first specialization at level 7, it will not be possible to have 5 points in Blood Magic by the time you hit level 11, the nominal minimum for Bloodlust. So in practical terms, you'd have to wait until level 12.
Or am I reading the descriptions wrong? If Bloodlust requires 5 points in the tree, does that mean Bloodlust must itself be the fifth point you put in the tree (which would be possible by level 11) rather than that you have to have 5 in the tree already?
Or were the requirements for this particular power just a bit carelessly designed?
Or is it a typo?
The requirements are indeed strange unless there is a typo. If things were as simple as putting a point in Blood Magic per level, that would be one thing. However, most of the Blood Magic abilities as written up have steep level requirements, and there is a gap between levels 9 and 12, such that no Blood Magic abilities will be able to be purchased on 10 or 11. The Blood Magic tree progression is limited like this:
7: Blood Magic
8: Grave Robber
9: Sacrifice
10: Nothing Available
11: Nothing Available (due to high point requirements for Bloodlust)
12: One Foot and/or Blood Slave, if BOTH then Bloodlust
The upshot being that you can take sequential points in Blood Magic on 7,8,9, and if you can find a way to save up 3 talent points by level 12, you can take the two level 12 talents then and pick up Bloodlust as well. Pretty convoluted.

I thinking Blood Mage might be better saved for ones second specialization.

I'm confused as to the way Tempest works and what its upgrade, Strike Twice, do. Someone to explain? please?
But Tempest does damage every 4 seconds.
Strikes Twice makes it do damage every 2 seconds.

So is it confirmed that willpower is part of armor requirments, or is it magic only? I think Ser Isaac's armor is STR and CUN, so does that mean all armors and robes have 2 stat requirements? Maybe just the higher level ones?Haussier wrote...
now all i need is the requirement info for armor and the "soft" level cap and I can complete my build ideas heheh.

That's actually really close to a tank build I was considering, although mine was going to have more in Vanguard. Massacre is too good.
Is there any more explanation for aura of pain for reaver?, otherwise it looks pretty terrible, any clues why I would take it?
It does X damage (it scales, don't be fooled by the crappy low number listing) for 5% of your health in a radius around you. So just imagine the number is 75. It will do 75 damage every 4 seconds to everything around you and you will lose 5% of your max health. This also means every time it ticks, your base damage gets higher thanks to Blood Frenzy.
I wouldn't be surpised if this had a compounding effect either so that every tick does more damage than the last, but you'll still be losing a set amount of health. A 2 STR/1 CON Reaver is going to be sick, especially if you can always keep them to at least 50% health without much of any problems.

One benefit is that it's 10% of a much higher hp total on Nightmare... you still get the instant kill even though you might need 3-4 (or however many) hits to do it without Massacre.Shinimas wrote...
What's the point of Massacre? 10% on lieutenants is way too low and who cares about normals? 20% is probably two, if not one, AA hit.

It's not a big deal on NORMAL, but enemies health scales with difficulty level, so I wouldn't be suprised if Nightmare had enemies with 50% more health. On top of that, tanks already do ridiculously low damage yet swing fast. This is a giant upgrade in damage for them at least.

Your companions have their own unqiue skill trees. They don't get hawkes specializations. So no Blood Mage, Reaver combo possible.
Except that Fenris has Blood Frenzy. So technically no, you wouldn't be able to go Reaver + Blood Mage, but you would still be able to do the combo I was talking about.
