Haha if I even mention Alistair near my boyfriend he goes insane. Sad thing is, he played DA:O first, as a girl, and I watched him play. He didn't like Morrigan or Lelianna so he got with Alistair and thought he was awesome. Then I mention that I like him and all of the sudden he hates Alistair.

And trust me there are plenty of fangirls around here to talk to. Took me a year to find one person who played Dragon Age in my town.

not a fangirl here, but i'm one of 3 geeky guys @ my work and i'm the only one interested in DA:2 atm. one of the other 2 said he was gonna try the demo b/c i was talking it up, but atm i'm alone like this guy:

It's sad how I'm the only girl in school who's excited about Dragon Age II. I pre-ordered it last year and I'm going to pick it up on Tuesday, which is the 8th here. I just got 4000 microsoft points as a part of early birthday gift, so if there's going to be tons of DLC... bring it on! haha. 

I didn't like the gameplay and combat of DA origins maybe it was because I was to the simplified structure of Mass Effect but ever since I tried the demo of DA II, it was like having the best of both worlds. I wish there was another girl I could talk to, to share my enthusiasam with.

Your not alone, I'm here wit ya. 
My friend and I are the only girls I know of who actually own a game system, lol.

EDIT: In all honesty its refreshing to see gamer girls, especially playing games that wouldn't be considered more on the "casual" side. (My sister loves the hell out of Tetris, she is no gamer though) Now, if only I could meet some in my day-to-day life?

It's true we are a minority. I've spent my whole life since adolescence being "the only girl" in the RP group. (Didn't start the all girl one until a few years ago). Nothing more embarrassing that walking into the local gaming store to game, and having two of the guys start loudly arguing about who "called dibs" on me first - *rolls eyes* - as if I was there to find a date! I wanted to game. Never dated either of them, although I did end up marrying a fellow gamer geek (but we were friends because we had a lot in common, not just gaming.)  We are a two Xbox household, because we didn't want to have to share.

Back in Hubby's grad school days, his friends thought he was incredibly lucky; not only did he not get in trouble for gaming, but I played with him, so he could get away with all night gaming and never have a cranky girlfriend/wife the next day.
