Libertarians are nice and all.....

But three things are necessary in this world: Money, money, and yet more money.

And Lucrosians are where the money's at!

Give the mages their own country...so that they become an advanced civilization like the imperium. Just make sure to keep it in the bounderies of the country maybe with slight expansion.

If you mean technologically, that wouldn't really make sense. Why invent a machine that heats a pot (or what have you), when you have magic at your fingertip?

No, not technologically. Then again, when you think about it, magic and technoogy can co-exist...almost to a level quite above what ordinary magic can do.

Remember, magic in this game cannot do everything and it is (like many other magics in games) governed by laws.

But technology has no boundaries, so the use of magic and technology can produce results.

Anyway...yeah I've read comments like what you've posted that "Why have technology when you have magic" and that has always bugged me.

Aequitarian Loyalist. That said, we need to implement a system of checks and balances that keeps the Templar and Chantry in check and reasonable.

My Hawke supports the libertarians, almost all of my hawkes will (either for a better life for themselves or their favorite sister). My hawkes views on mages is EXACTLY like anders.

"A world with no Circle. No templars. A world where every mage can learn to use their gifts and still return home at night. Where no mother ever need hide her child… or lose him to the fear of his neighbors. Where magic is recognized as a gift of the Maker, not the curse it has become."
