you said you didn't finish the game, but you just ranted about specific parts towards the end of the game in detail.

I didn't get the advantage of a media black out. Besides, Bioware themselves told us the Squadies could indeed die, if memory serves, so naturally I read ahead on the conditions of it. Whilst I tried to enjoy the game, I made a decision I never wanted to play ME2 twice through after playing it. It was small, cluttered, duck and cover style gameplay. With ME2 I was running across vast planets. Whilst the Planet Exploration deal was very tedious, it was also very optional and had no bearing on the next game beyond some bonuses to your supplies.

Yes, I read ahead and spoiled the game. Being told your entire squad could die over a bad decision pretty much threw me into that ballpark.

And, for those who aren't sure, Laidlaw has said that companions' armor stats can be upgraded but the armor itself will not be able to be swapped out for, as one person suggested, massive plate on Isabela.

We're still not sure about those stat upgrades.  We don't know whether we have as much statistical control over our companions' armour stats as we did in DAO (again, we could put Massive Armour on leliana - can we get Isabela's stats to an equivalent level?)

they probably dont want us taking the armor of the party members and leaving them in there underwear becouse that would take away from the utterly **** "sex scenes"

Seriously, people? How many of us really wanted Morrigan wearing a wimple just to have more stat buffs or Wynn putting on the 'skank-a-licious' Tevinter robes as an upgrade?

That's a specious argument, though.  That the armour available in the game didn't suit the characters is not evidence that giving them new armour has no value.

First, new games might offer better armour.  And second, better armour was available in DAO using mods.

It bothered me before, now I don't really care though. If they become available I just won't buy them, problem solved.

...such things...

If they do, I'll be certain to shave off an other 10th of a fanboy, soon there will be nothing left.

& I don't buy all the extra DLC trinkets; esp. since they too often, besides being dirty money, are over powering and shouldn't be in the game.

@ Filament: Heh, my annoyance with this method of milking people of money makes the trinkets easy to avoid; or I burn with enough indignation that I'd feel dirty if they ever touched my game (unless I get them in a GOTY edition, like with DA:O) .

They could do that without taking away party armor. They could just as easily sell armor sets with all appropriate slots (boots, gloves, etc). I prefer DA:O over this crud. They could have kept the inventory system the same and provided unique armor sets to provide more of an individuality.

Actually, they couldn't.  How do you think Isabela's outfit and ummm...  body type break the rules of the standard Inventory way of doing things?  I was unaware that Hawke could equip thigh-high boots and a smock.

I like that the characters look unique.

Not all of us are on the PC.  PS3 users have no access to mods, and I'm unsure if the 360 does.

That doesn't change that the option to equip armour has some value beyond the quality of the actual armour available.

And you can mod console games - the console manufacturers would just rather you didn't.

Please, whine more. It's entertaining.

Whining got the inventory and Mako removed from Mass Effect, the difficulty nerfed in Origins and the dialogue wheel put in the sequel.  It seems to work with Bioware!

So in other words, quite often, the whining is heeded in unfortunate ways.

See also, the female characters' running animation in DA2.  Who the hell flops their head from side to side like that when they run?

(EDIT:  let me rephrase that.)
