so I just finished dragon age origins with a ridiculously hot city elf rogue. So my dilema is as follows: I really want to put alister in the throne and not that snake anora and have that carry over. the problem is that he breaks up with my ridiculously hot city elf after I make him king, he says because he has to have a child and he can only wed a noble (and is unwilling to cheat) and I want the relationship to carry over into expansion with him as king. even though my rogue has high cunning I cant get the persuade option to rule with him being tittleless city elf and all.
-So i ended up beating the game putting anora as queen and she offered me a title and money as one of the possible rewards. so two questions: Now if I make Alister king does he also offer me a noble tittle as reward and if he does, does that make my city elf eligible to "wed" him later or is any possibility of future romance with alistair effectively over if he breaks up with you over lack of eligibility for marriage even though you acquired a "noble tittle".
-also if you cant acquire tittle making alistair king can you in the expansion and would that "make you eligible" in expansion.
I messed up my saves and you would save me a lot of play time by answering this! thank you.

Alistair does offer you the noble title as a reward. And no, you won't be able to marry him later. Once he breaks up with you it's over. I think he's flagged as still in love after the Landsmeet breakup (someone correct me if I'm wrong) which can affect what happens with the archdemon, but your relationship is essentially finished.
You can only marry him as a HNF and even then only by picking the persuade option of ruling with him at the Landsmeet.
And Anora is a snake. Argh.

It's ok, you're uber hot City Elf can find love and consolation in equally hot Zevran's arms so she doesn't have to be alone.

Alternately, if you don't mind being his 'mistress', you can convince him to keep you as his bit on the side if you hardened him in his personal quest (Goldanna). You don't get to be queen, but you stay on as his floozy.

Did you harden Alistair during his personal quest? Hardened Alistair can be convinced to continue the relationship if you select the right dialogues. He won't marry you because the nobility won't accept an elf in the position as queen. Sorry that's just Thedas politics for you. Mistress yes, wife no unless you are a HNF.
He will remain king and greet you as his love in Awakenings though you are not married (the dialogue is slightly different for his mistress but the gist is the same).
If you want your happy ever after with Alistair you are going to either accept that you will be his Mistress or put Anora on the throne, give Eamon the finger and run off with your fella to Orlais to eat cake and live in sin !! (I really really like option 2 there and it's the one my Dalish always goes with). GW Alistair gets no cameo in Awakenings or mention even. Anora will be the one who greets you as the ruler. So that's a tradeoff.

Go, ridiculously hot city elf!
I have an MV with written instructions on how to either ride off into the sunset with Warden Alistair or become King Alistair's mistress if you are not a human noble. Click "show more" for the instructions.
I also prefer the Wardens together ending, but Anora kinda sucks as sole ruler if you're a city elf, plus you don't get to see Alistair in Awakening if he's not king.
