Does this game have same gameplay and linear storyline like Mass Effect 2? (It felt like that when I play the demo)

The demo is more linear because it goes through the prologue, and wants to streamline your actions down a certain path because, naturally, it's a demo.

I haven't played ME2 so I don't know what that's like, but DA2 seems to be more like Origins in terms of linearity.
