I only trust Gamestop

Mine hasn't, but as others have said, Amazon usually ships the day before with overnight shipping. So, we shouldn't worry too much.

Side note: I've had dreams about it arriving. How sad is that?

My copy hasn't shipped yet, but I'm using Amazon Student/Prime for the free 2 day shipping so I can't really complain.

Amazon doesn't seem to offer release day shipping on pre-01.11.2011 preorders, which is currently causing me an unreal amount of angst.

I have release day shipping on an order placed on new year's day.

I actually didn't get the release day shipping option either and I pre-ordered in December.  I'm just dealing with it and getting free shipping instead.  I'm sure I can put the extra week to good use elsewhere.

I ordered in Nov. and didn't get RD Shipping offered to me, either. So...

Second time it's happened. First with GS: Dark Dawn, and now this. Meanwhile, Fable 3 and FFXIV, I could choose them, and did. Whatever. It'll be a few days late, I'm sure. I'll survive. New infos has made me leery of my LI choice anyway.

I NEVER trust GameStop. I used to and then I heard about a whole fiasco where GameStop allowed too many people to preorder games and then ended up not having enough copies. Plus GameStop service and the people who at least work in the one near me are not that friendly. Some of them don't even know much about games.

My Amazon order has not shipped yet either but I wouldn't worry. Amazon is very trustworthy.

I pre-ordered on January 11, and release-day shipping was available. Maybe it's 2010 orders that didn't have the option?

I doubt that. I pre-ordered in July. Yes. I pre-ordered in July people.

I always get my release-day purchases from Amazon. They often ship the day before release, or two sometimes.

I wouldn't worry, Maria. Ordering from Amazon has come up a couple of times before and the general understanding is that they ship on Monday for a Tuesday "release date" delivery.

As for Gamestop... yeah, 'cause you tell from reading these forums how well that's worked out for people.

Looks like it. I just got this from their website.

Mine hasn't shipped either but the times that I've pre-ordered something from Amazon with release day shipping it always arrives in time, and like someone already mentioned it ships a day or two before release so Monday would be my guess. From my experiences Amazon are great with their delivery estimates, so I think its safe for all of us who pre-ordered from Amazon with release day shipping to rest assured that the game will arrive on time.

Those of you who preordered from Amazon and are not able to select release day shipping: I called and spoke to an operator who claims she will be changing my shipping option for me manually. Then again, she had apparently never heard of release day shipping and spent the entire phone call acting like I must be yanking her chain and/or trying to convince me that by "release day shipping" I in fact meant "free super-saver shipping", so I suspect she just said that to get me off the line. If my shipping option is still one-day in a couple of hours, I guess I'll call again, and have another passive-aggressive argument with an operator.

Well, I preordered online with ship to store, and I have contacted my store, they've promised me my copy will be there for me on the 8th, so what the website says doesn't matter.

Besides, just because it's "backordered" today, doesn't mean it won't ship properly on launch day.

In fact, the few times I"ve NOT pre-ordered with Gamestop things have gotten ****ed up and I've ended up buying the game at Gamestop on release day because my pre-orders with other sources got ****ed up so bad.  So, I'm done with everyone else, from now on, I am trusting GameStop.<3

pre-ordered mine on Walmart. I typically use Amazon. But my SE edition actually went out yesterday and is on its way via fedex.

Heard about doesn't mean it happened.  Not saying it didn't, but unless it happened to you or you were there in person with someone it happened to... you can't really know.

For example of this... A friend of mine once told me that my local theater refused to accept his Lord of the Rings free ticket voucher that came with purchase of the DVDs, even when he got the manager to come out, she also said no.  My cousin who works there told me that could not have happened, they have always made sure all employees and especially the manager know they are valid.  Who is wrong... my friend or my cousin?  I have no way to know.

EDIT: As for your local store being staffed by non-gamers, that's not cool.  I used to have that problem at Best Buy's computer sales department.  They hired people that knew sales, not that knew jack about computers and I had a friend that actually QUIT cause he got sick of having to fix problems the other employees had created because they had misinformed customers due to not knowing what they were talking about when it came to computers.

For those who said release date shipping wasn't available when you ordered, you did check to see if you could change it more recently right? I've preordered games before they had release date delivery available, I just go back and check my order closer to release and change the shipping method.

I have student Prime through my step brother, so I always get release day delivery if it's available. They usually auto upgrade me if I choose 2 day shipping, but I always go back and check.

I have mine set for overnight from Amazon, but it keeps telling me I'll get it the 10th instead of the release date. Not a big deal to wait an extra day or two but it would be nice if I could get release date shipping...

Every time I get amazon release day shipping my items ship the day before release.

I actually contacted Amazon about this and was informed that the game's release day delivery was pulled because they couldn't confirm the inventory or something like that. I suspect it will probably still arrive on Tuesday, but they're just not guaranteeing it right now.

But like somebody said previously, my experience with amazon is that it doesn't actually ship until the day before it's supposed to arrive. So I wouldn't worry about it until Monday.
