 My computer meets all of the system requirements for Dragon Age 2, except for one: Windows XP SP3. I've had a rediculous amount of trouble trying to install SP3 and have given up long ago on it. The odd thing, the DA2 demo ran beautifully on my rig. Which I don't understand, considering the demo and game have the same engine (or am I wrong?). There have been other games in the past whose sys reqs also required SP3 that I have been able to install and play. And others that have not been so forgiving. I'm going to be upgrading to Windows 7 within the next few months, but I really don't want to have to get it not just to play this. Any thoughts on this would help with these doubts I have about pre-ordering the game or just waiting until I get 7.

If you can run DA2 Demo on Windows XP, I highly doubt you will have trouble running the full game. 'Course, you won't know until the game actually comes up. Still, I think the probability of it working is pretty high.

You should be able to, hopefully that will be the case when the game is out.

I'd say if the demo gave you no issues you should be ok. And don't feel bad about the System pack issue. I had that problem with system pack 2 forever on my old xp system.
