If there comes a time we need forum space, I will set up community forums on RWS, just give the word

I am not sure, Hellfire if that is the way to go or not. I was perplexed when I got an email notice of a message here from MasterChanger. I am surprised that apparently no-one donated anything to help fund the website maintenance.

I'd like to see if I can "fix" the situation and have the Citadel remain it's own unique site. That said, however, I will do what I have to in order to get it back up and running. So I definitely will consider your kind offer of support and sustenance on the RWS site as a clear and genuine offer in order to make the Citadel rise from the grave.

A pauper's grave.

If there are any of you that wish to offer donations or whatever, please just PM me. Meanwhile I need to get more information before I can properly respond to any other questions or requests.

Thanks all, for your patience and kindness.

PJ and I have finished our piece.  We haven't heard from Chaos in awhile though, so I'm not sure.  It seems the Eguintir may have left the building and I understood that he was making a fair amount of the adventure.  It seems that the project may be floundering a bit, but it is not a big deal really, since there are no real deadlines.  All it would take is for the right number of builders to step up and finish this off.  As far as I know, Eguintir is the only one who has even hinted about being off the project, and he may still be working on it.  Who knows?

I would guess that it is on hiatus, but I don't think we should call it dead yet.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I didn't know if it was on hiatus or just being worked on in the shadows. I hope it gets done in the end.

Just a guess, but he's probably not working on it. ;)

Even if it goes by the wayside I suspect you will see all the competed content one way or another.

I assumed it is still alive, but obviously the fall release is off. A bunch of areas have been completed and I hope to see them in this project. As new faces show up, perhaps we could snag a few to contribute to the project.

Our organization is a bit off right now with the citadel gone. Having a central point to post and discuss between the builders is a must and a spot will need to be found if this project is going to go forward and be completed.

This might sound stupid, but this site has a project interface that has forum discussion options.  It could serve as a good place to coordinate efforts until the Citadel is back together.

Someone just needs to start an official project.

That's where we started before the citadel is it not?

There should be the one set up by DNO in the early days. Can we just revet to that?

We were doing it as a group here on this site. The difference between groups and projects is that groups have members and projects have file downloads, other wise they are the same.

We found the format here not to our expectations and left shortly after starting.  http://social.bioware.com/group/3803/

With the Citadel down we may want to take Hellfire up on his offer to move our discussion & organization forum to his site. Unless the citadel will be up shortly. Does anyone have the status of the Citadel?

Ouch. Bad news on the Citadel.

As for the project, it's definately ongoing, I think people have just been doing other things. Eguintir actually sounded up for finishing at least his bits of it last time he talked about it (though highly dubious about whether the rest of us were continuing) but that was before he got upset over the community as a whole, and I think he might have left for good.

Without the Citadel site to gather all the efforts together things are going to be a bit of a mess. Once we get something sorted we can probably get things back together pretty quickly.

I certainly hope this project isn't dead, I'm still putting alot work into it. For the record I wouldn't mind reverting to the Prodject Discussion board here on the bioware site, in fact considering the circumstances I'd even prefer it since everyone already has an account here and we have the old discussion board already started.

In the mean time I continue to work on the custom openings, and side areas. I have more planned than I could ever hope to finish, so I'll just keep working on different pieces till we decide on a release date.

Still working on sorting the "what needs doing" list of getting back up and running. Will let you know more hopefully in the following week. Now that I am mostly completed with my personal roofing project (yes, being unskilled at roofing and whatnot, it took me a while to roof 2200 square feet of roof) I can start refocusing some of my energy and efforts on NWN2, the Citadel and rebuilding my computer workhorse (the desktop) -- I mean, after I fix/replace the circuit board for my CACH (Central Air, Central Heating) that was boinked by a power surge recently. One damn thing after another.

Still, I have more time to devote now and that's what matters.

A location, general loose plot outline, and big bad were established. Their was an OM so people could just submit random adventures. It just kind of died out.

My post Crimmor work might be adventuring on an OM without strong plot, so don't delete your work!

If the modders still keep their work (and if they're willing to continue), couldn't this project be resurrected? Maybe some contributor is lost, but it could still be doable, no?

And come on Kamal, finish Crimmor already so you can finish the next one.

The reason this died out is that this simple fun community project turned into a massive complex multi-story module monster.  Simple is better.

I'm going to dust off the multi-level dungeon adventure Places Deep and release it as a short module at the end of the summer.

But if this project got pulled back together, I would be happy to hold off.

Harumph!

PJ156 and I finished our part of the community project and it has been collecting dust on our hard drives. If it ever resurrects, then we just have to dropbox it to whoever is taking lead. That being said, If it is resurrected, it needs to be smaller.

Personally, it would find it useful if there were just a collection of OM encounter areas. If everybody created just 2-3 areas, each with multiple points of entry, we could have a pretty nice pool from which to draw.

I still have my two areas and with a bit of tweaking they could be modified to fit into another project.
