I'm going to start Rogue. I don't know if it will last long though as I'll probably try to customize the character's face and maybe an hour into the game I'll get sick of looking at him and start over.
Rinse and repeat that a few times until I give up, stick with the default character features and go warrior.
Who else is in the "I can't pick my class for the first playthrough" club?

Something of a split between a bloodthirsty and aggressive Reaver warrior for my first playthrough, and my default conniving dark mage character.
Prolly going to end up going Reaver, though, since I never played a martial character beyond their origin in DA:O, and Reaver looks like the awesomeness of the mechanics now stand up to the awesome that is its fluff.
But there will eventually be conniving. Oh yes.

I played as all three in Origins, and for as much as I loved rolling around as a Mage with Wynee and Morrigan with a warrior drawing fire, I found I had more fun with my rogue, and even more so with my duel(florentine) warrior... So I guess I'm gonna go Archer Rogue! Lolz

All of the classes look amazing, which is a pleasant surprise since I wasn't a huge fan of warrior in DA:O. I will do playthroughs of each class, but I think just because I loved it so much in DA:O I will start as rogue in DA2.

Think I'm going to roll a mage for my first play through. Than do a experimental run with a BnA rogue and mess around with the rivalries and such. Than the finally will be the perfect run with a DW rogue.
No warriors, they bore me.

First I thought I'd go for the warrior, but (in the demo at least) you can't fight with 2 swords...
I tried out the rogue, loved it, so I guess I'll go with that one

I'd really like to play a two-handed warrior but I'd like my (unnamed) Hawke to be different from my Warden, mostly because I can't stand the thought of anyone challenging my Cousland warrior for sheer nobility. So I'll probably grudgingly play a rogue.
Still, it feels unnatural!

I really have no idea what to roll first. I wanna play a 2H warrior to see myself in sexy armour (warrior armour is always way sexier than the others! =D), DW rogue to kick butt in flip flop around, archer rogue cause I really like the skills I read I'll get later (yet didn't get to use in the demo), mage cause hey I'm hurling sphere of flame with my hands... I'll probably go oldskool and roll dice about it. 1=2Hwarrior, 2=DWrogue, 3=BnArogue, 4=mage.
Bigger issue for me is genders, really. I'll want a male character eventually, so which character should have to deal with being male? Archer, perhaps? I definitely want to see DWrogue and 2Hwarrior as women, so that leaves mage or archer, I guess...
Decisions, they're difficult. BioWare's taking this a step further in DA2 by making your very first difficult decision being made in the character creation stages! No more "mage is awesome, period", now everyone rocks.... =(

My suggestion: If you're well and truly on the fence, play the exaggerated prologue with each class to try them all out at late-game strength and see which one you like the hands-on feel of best.
I already know what I'm going to play, but the exaggerated prologue didn't really help with that decision, since both exaggerated rogue and warrior don't feature the weapon styles I would have been interested in.
Anyways, my first playthrough will definitely be sword&shield warrior. Then mage, and probably one more with an archer rogue.

I'm going with Mage. I saw the Warrior specs, and I admit, it was tempting... I saw the Mage specs, and I was unimpressed... but in the end, I just couldn't resist. Magic is always more fun for me, so Warrior can wait until my 2nd (or 3rd) run.

I was until today. I'll go with Mage.

I always play a compassionate, diplomatic character my first run, which oddly enough makes me think I'll have to go with a fairly moderate mage this time; the other characters I think up (that aren't the more extreme ones I'm saving until I know the possibilities better, like my planned Templar) would just be too protective of Bethany to make that possible, initially.
I have six characters mapped out already

DeAnna Cousland my avatar and 2h warrior from origins did the ultimate sacrifice and I have had felt very guilty since she was my favorite character out of my nine play throughs. In her honor I will start DA2 as a female 2h warrior.

Yeah, I am stuck between Good Female dps Mage and Sarcastic Male Dual Wield Rogue.

I'd like to be mage, but I don't want to wear stupid dresses (mage's robes).
Do you know if there is armor for male mage like in the beginning (demo) or am I doomed for drag-queen-clothes?

This is easy for me. I absolutely love Rogues.
So I'm going to create a Female Rogue called Alexa. No bows for me though.
Then a Fem dps Mage called Megara, and finally a Fem Warrior called Aefthreth -- don't know whether to go for tank or full-on damage.
If I do make a Male Hawke, he'll be a Warrior. Not sure about the name though.

I'll probably go for mage. I could roleplay a sneaky rogue but now that they're gone all acrobatic, I'll probably stick to having one in my party (for the first playthrough anyway).

I can't pick between dual-wielding and an archer rogue :B But I'll probably do dual-wielding as my first playthrough, and then a mage as my second.

Leaning towards THW for my first play through, mainly because I want Bethany to live. I like rogues too, but something about burly man Hawke wielding sissy daggers and wearing a skirt bothers me, so if I ever play through as a rogue it will be with FemHawke. Haven't decided what sex my mage play through will be yet.

I normally start with a all female party, since, aside from characters like Sten and Oghren, that I really liked, they usually annoy me the least.
& I might be a tragic cellar cave-man, at least in part.
But Females are usually of more interest to me when building parties, so definitively not a mage since that removes one potential party companion; and then there is lots of Rogues, but no female archer, and no female two hander; and I'm probably picking the later.
Once I learn what male companions jabber I can live with I'll expand my options for the 2nd playthrough.

I want to be a dual wield rogue, but then I think I'll want to use Isabela a lot, so maybe not the best choice.

In the club, thinking about a sword and shield warrior and a archer rogue.

I'm considering trying to finish it with only archers. See how that goes. And on nightmare difficulty, because no friendly fire is stupid. And so was the guy that made the decision not to have friendly fire as a separate option. He should be fired, IMHO.

Blood mage, all the way. Already gave it planned out, and he will probably be more durable then most warriors.
