Looks great, did you get that in game? On your PC? Cuz mine came from ingame, on my PC. Or did you just find a nice Projekt Screenshot of the internet... Hmm.
'Course not, but I did get this from TW1 in-game from my PC, I say it looks better but that's my subjective opinion.
The first witcher looks better than DA2?
Are you trolling me?
Are you a dragon?

I say DA2 would look AWESOME. Its only the EA timeframe of 2 years that made DA2 look so bad.
Check the Witcher 2 Screenshots, they just look a lot better, even without HiRes Textures.

Second, a high quality texture pack will be available for download.
Third, the game isn't even out yet, stop judging the whole game based on the demo.

2. On the other hand, when it came to art direction/design (and also tiny little details like lighting and day/night cycles) The Witcher easily surpassed DAO.
3. The Witcher 2 looks like it will blow DA2 away in both departments. (though the game isn't out, and I'll admit that I'm terrified they'll find a way to screw it up, somehow)
For whatever reason, Bioware fantasy RPGs (at least from NWN on) look like they've been designed by
people who, rather than do original design, use other games and fantasy movies for inspiration - which
makes their worlds look bland, derivative and generic. Their games (the fantasy ones in particular) could look much better running on the same hardware if they got someone with a little bit of talent to handle the art direction. (Edit: Or, since it looks like the same guy who did lead work on DAO and DA2 also worked on Jade Empire, perhaps they just need to make sure he's on whatever he did during the Jade Empire days, because that actually looked very good...

I agree 100% with you, Bioware should have at LEAST tried harder to improve the looks in DA2. I mean when DAO got released it already looked medicore compared to modern games. And now DA2 graphics isnt satisfing.

if the game look so much like crap then why buy it? why not wait for witcher 2? and live the game to people the actually want to play it if all you guys can do is complain then why play a game you do not want to like?
Because I will buy both?
Competition gets people to work harder....

It isn't so hard! Just look! The darned red X is in the upper right of your darned screen! CLICK IT.
I hate these DA2 vs Witcher (2) discussions...
Yes, we KNOW that that game has better graphics!
Yes, we KNOW that DA2 hasn't the most epicsauce superduper supercalifragilisticexpialidocious megaultra awesomejuice graphics you're looking for.
Yes, we KNOW that graphics add to the immersion of a game!
Now drop it, will you? It's plain annoying, and I was more than happy that these discussions were gone from this forum.

Alot of people unfairly compare the starting demo area (Blighted Land) to screenshots of another game in a more appealing environment.
I know the graphics are not cutting edge but I believe they are decent and some environments look better than in DAO.

Isnt feedback exactly what Bioware needs? Dont they need competition to produce better games in the future?

I'm begining to suspect that many people in this thread can't distinguish between "Graphics" and "Art style."
Spot on.
Also whoever likes Witcher 2 can migrate to their forums. No use making noise on DA2 forums.
And in my opinion the combat in Witcher was ****.

I think Bioware is more than capable of browsing to the Witcher 2 site to look up a few screenshots or what not...

As long as a game is playable and enjoyable, I'm fine with it.
