Merrill is just cute. Cute face, elegant body(in an elfy way) and her personality makes you go "awwwww" whenever she opens her mouth.
Isabela is charming, funny, and just...hot. I probably spent more time staring at her than any other character....cept Varric, but he's out.....

It was strange seeing Merrill with a welsh accent because she had a completely different accent when I played the Dalish origin story in DA:O. Really love her though she's too cute.

I don't even know if I'll romance Isabella. People make her sound like a ****. I haven't gotten her yet.

To be honest, I think if I romance one of these women, I'll just be giving into male and female stereotypes, and they are starting to become insulting. I don't know if women feel the same way about women being portrayed this way in games. I'm tired of there always being a submissive, naive young woman to take advantage of or a woman that just casually sleeps with everyone to choose from.

Know what Isabella did with my Warden in the first one has permanently stamped '****' in to my memory of her, and judging by certain conversations with Anders I think she'd give me something if I slept with her. I'm sorry, but I can't ring myself to touch a woman like that. The only think I like about her is that she brought dueling in to the Dragonage universe, and more games need to see dueling/fencing/sword&dagger based combat.

Since Isabella is a complete **** who has contracted a wide range of VDs....Not her. She's a **** anyway.

Isabella for sure, both genders.  She's beautiful and dangerous.  Once she ahs a taste of my Hawke (oops, didn't mean ti to sound that way), she'll become a one-character woman.  She's worldly, and travels and adventures.

And she looks a lot like a girl I dated in my younger days, although her labret piercing was silver, not gold.


Merill, on the other hand, looks a bit boyish.  Her always being confused, lost, etc. is not endearing.  It makes me want to tell her to get a life.  And it seems like anyone having a relationship with someone so incredibly naive would be taking advantage of them, regardless of good intentions.  She isn't really prepared for life outside of her Dalish tribe.  Or in it.  She's sweet, in a wounded kitten sort of way, but she brings her isolations and problems upon herself.

I love her naive attitude.
All about butterflies and rainbows in her questions and most of her answers
are dark and obscure in some parts. I just love the girl. She's on top of the list

A long time ago a girlfriend (at the time) said this: "I hate that men only seem to find us sexy if we're innocent schoolgirls on one hand or wild tramps on the other. Can't we just be ourselves?"

I found this a powerful statement and took it to heart. It's too bad most game designers have apparently never had a similar talk.

By the way, as a male I'm more than a bit sick of the "dark brooding protector" male romance, but at least I don't have to play through it.

Probably the first Bioware game where I didn't really care for any of the romance options. Both Merrill and Isabella are so one dimensional that it was hard to connect with either character.

Its like both options are just so bad. Total cardboard cutouts.
