I originally romanced Merril because I thought she was cute and I enjoy ruining her innocence. But then she went bat-sh!t crazy with the whole "MIRROR, DEMONS, BLOOD MAGIC" thing which made me regret it. Plus her romance outfit is hideous and hurts my eyes.

I'll definitely be going for the disease ridden Isabela any other playthroughs.

Merril's innocence and naivety makes her adorable. Plus she moves into your house! Isabela gives you an STD (literally, considering once you romance her and save the game while she is in your party on a mission, the game reduces your speed by 5% every time you load the game). Huge turn off.

Truthfully, Isabella is alot more interesting. Merill is very cute and innocent but Isabella is just frriking hilarious. She's my favourite female character, Fenris is too sexy to ignore.

I've done both, Merril sweet and Isabella 'floats my boat' but in terms of character advantage......Flemeth although the character would die afterwards because she tends to kill the 'liability'. Thinking it well I want Morrigan back

yay?  std's or having to deal with a virgin, dunno what could be worse.

though, my first playthrough i had sex with isabella then we brushed it off as fun and nothing serious, then i got serious with merril because i had her in my main party, and isabella wasnt.

the very idea of romancing characters is laughable in any game ive played, its never realistic.  maybe thats because ive been in relationships lol

lol agreed wholeheartedly there.  i dont dislike isabella but her char wasnt very interesting, i told the arishok to take her, like i wouldve in real life.
