I think a lot of you are missing the point here. Merrill looks young. Nobody is saying she is young. There are plenty of porn stars who look like little kids and gets jobs specifically for that so there's obviously a market for it. It's just that some of us don't find Merrill's childlike appearance to be particularly attractive.

This is always going to be down to individual player opinion, and since it will be their game and their playthrough it will be up to that player who their character will attempt to romance (if anyone).

What do others really care how another person views Merrill (she certainly doesn't, she's fictional)?

It's a stupid friggin idea, but the point is this: it doesn't friggin matter, she is NOT 12. It's that simple. Whether she looks 12 to someone and 22 to another is really inconsequential. People don't come out the assembly line, they look differently.

I think I'm mostly bothered by the way that people are displaying this fact. "I'm not a pedophile" "I don't bang 12 year olds".

I've worked with 5th and 6th graders and I have never found them attractive. On the flipside I find Merrill's character model to be an attractive rendering of a woman. Funny how that works.

It's the way that people are saying that they don't like Merril. They aren't saying "She looks way too young for me to feel comfortable" and that would be fine with most people I imagine.

If you play Mass effect, you would also noticed how Liara - a romance option - is young, and she mentions that she's just barely an adult.

As for the question -- Merril, Isabella seems like she's trying a bit too hard....Heck, with multiple playthroughs it's possible to romance both.

I find the hate of Japanese games on here to be hillarious if not for the Japanese Gaming would be in the realm of table top arcade stands in smelly bars, or Mac users. Say what you will but it can NOT be dissputed that Nintendo and Sony got the ball rolling where others failed.

I ment the males in the game actully Cid looked old as **** in the book/game/movie, yet isn't, Vincent is a Damn Vampire imo, and Cloud looked like a teenager with bad hair. And Barret looks like a mad Mr T. Yet ages listed say otherwise. The Females in japanese games have always looked young and are mainly a fan service, though most Asian women I've seen have looked rather young, but didn't dress up like ****s. Heck if you want to say the age they look is what they are, then here a better example, and if you want to say ITS A JAPANESE game, then save it. He has as much influance in the US or Globally.

Baby Mario. He's a damn baby with a mustahce, or how about Snake, who was at best 30 then by MGS4 given the foxdie aged to an 80 year old man.
