Ok so tried to play the demo on different settings and soon after picking my class my whole computer just turns off (not blue screen). Its really weird since ive had this laptop it also did it for NVN 2.
Specs: i7
8gb ram/1dedicated
ati hd 5870 card
win 7 64-bit
If someone has any suggestions I'd love u forever

Turns off, as in black screen and eventual restart? That is a BSOD in Win 7... I suggest you check your video driver and possibly do a clean install. There's a link below in my sig with a step-by-step guide if you need help.
If this is happening in more than just Dragon Age, you can also go to this forum:

... the folks there are very helpful. Basically, you download a compiler and attach a report to your post. Someone will be able to read the minidump file and may be able to tell you what's causing the crash.

Yes it black screens.
I tried what linked and still no luck. If all else fails ill just have to buy it for 360. I'm going to miss the mods D:
