I'm hoping somebody at Bioware will read this and somehow give me a hand, though I'm not expecting much.  So today I bought ME2 on the PSN at 11 am.  I have a ps3 slim (120gb) directly wired to my modem (verizon FIOS, 25 mb/s DL).  The download took 8 hours.  That's beyond excessive, calling that excessive would be an understatement.

But whatever, it downloaded, I bought the N7 pack so I had all the DLC and I was ready to play this game.  I start installing, at 14% it gives me error code 80029564, which means that the download corrupted and I need to download it again.  I've heard of downloads corrupting and was DREADING it actually happening, but I told myself how in the world could that happen?  Surely that only happens to old and dying fat ps3s, right?  Nope, it happened.

I'm currently downloading, again.  It's at 79%, 9686 mb /12 gb.  I have no way of knowing if this download has been or will be corrupted until I attempt to install it.  I'm expecting it to simply fail again.  If it fails I'm just going to assume I just threw $64.18 out the window because downloads are "non-refundable" and I can't fathom spending another 8 hours downloading a dead file.  I've contacted Sony, they just say to download it again and that should work.  I asked them what if it doesn't work this time, and they said only to just keep downloading as many times as I need to get it to work.

As far as I'm concerned, I was just robbed tonight.  During the 16 or so hours this is all happening I've been reading about this error code and why it exists and what people do to fix it and "apparently" it stems from downloading something during busy traffic hours.  Well, because this download takes 8 hours there really isn't any time I can download it when PSN won't be busy at some point.  I checked other forums to see if this happened to other people and if they fixed it, and it turns out almost this same exact situation happened to somebody today (gamespot forums) which makes it seem as if this isn't so isolated.

tl;dr bought ME2 on psn, took 8 hours to download only to find out it was corrupted.  Redownloading another corrupted file right now in all likelihood.  Sony is of no help because they already have my non-refundable money.  Any and all help/advice/insight is appreciated.

AFAIK, there has been some problems with PSN recently, but at least for me, yesterday evening everything seemed fine. How much free space does your console have in total? Just asking. Definitely a very low download speed if it took you eight hours to download 12GB of data.

Anyway, was there a particular reason why you went with the PSN download instead of a physical copy? I don't know what the prices are in the US, but I'd like to think that buying the retail disc copy costs you less than $64.18
