You want to go to the projects section of this site located above. Mods on here are still in a work in progress or at least have some form of stable build.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but the nexus sites will be hosting mods in the near future.

This is taken from the latest news post on TES.NEXUS (the Nexus site for Oblivion mods):

"PS. if you're wondering why there isn't a Dragon Age Nexus, BioWare have released their own site to host mods for the game. I'm keeping a close eye on it".

I'm hoping the Nexus guys go ahead and start up a Dragon Age one because they have done a great job with the Oblivion Nexus and Fallout 3. .

that "nexus" site is a joke, the fallout 3 nexus site did nothing but host nude mods, pedophilia material, and sex mods. all disgusting stuff.

there was even a mod where you could enslave children for sex hosted on that site. i would never recommend that site to anyone, its gutter trash.

FalloutNexus was freaking awesome and one of the best mod sites I'd ever seen simply for the ease of use and great sorting / category system they used. It let people find new mods easily but also had the top 50 section so you could quickly see the best user rated mods and not have to worry about sorting through all the junk.

I'm trying not to flame you or any thing Jackal but I never saw any pedophile crap (which wouldn't have been tolerated and you should have contacted a moderator for the site and / or the police since even cartoon pedophilia is illegal in the USA) and sorry but nude skins for adults in a game where you blow brains out isn't a problem (rated M for Mature). Yeah you could kill children with some of the mods there but you could do that in Fallout 2 as well (maybe Fallout 1 I can't remember) and since children die in movies and TV shows all the time again who cares? Are games less of a medium than TVs, movies, or books?

I'd say they are just 'comprehensive'.

They could probably screen what gets uploaded a bit more but there are still heaps of other great mods on there unlike the ones you mentioned. Complete new campaigns, housing, NPC that you can recruit to join your party.

But the best one had to be the total overhaul of the game (Oscuros Oblivion Overhaul) mod that got rid of monster auto leveling with your characters level so you could go back to old areas and slaughter everything and feel powerful, as it should be.

Agreed. Some of the mods may be of questionable morality, but that's life. You can always ignore the ones you don't like. The thing about the Nexus sites is they're more or less totally uncensored in terms of content. That's a very good thing. I'm worried BW will censor some of the mods that may be posted here. So an independant fan site just screams to be created.
Here's to hoping Nexus, or something similar, does spring up for DAO.

DarkOne has since said on this forum that one was indeed in the works.

There is very little censorship on the site but if you want adult content you have to enable it in your options, those who don't like don't have to enable it. Surely choice is preferable to censorship?

Expect an announcement on Dragon Age Nexus before the night's end. I've just got back from iLan (the UK's biggest LAN event) and have a bit of work to do :)

I suspect Bioware intended the project category DA Playable Modules to be used for... well, playable modules.

Unfortunately, it's become cluttered with other material.

My suggestion is that Bioware could remedy this by

(a) Splitting projects into player downloads and builder downloads.

(B) Advising module build teams where to put (i) promotional material for players (ii) team internal documents.

© Routinely checking additions to DA Playable Modules and recategorising anything which is not in fact a playable module.

I see there's a new forum for module announcements now, so we're getting there.

At present, my preference as an author is to publish modules on this social site. It's potentially convenient for players as a one-stop shop (assuming Bioware listens to the wider feedback on presentation, which I'm sure they will).

I like the clear terms of service on content contributions (protection which alternative sites like Nexus don't match), and I've no reason to suppose that my work will be censored here.

I don't know, we've seen very little in terms of improvement in any aspect of the social site. I would love it if this became the standard site for mods, but with the poor filtering capabilities, limits to filetypes which can be uploaded (the most glaring being 7zip, which is a great means of compression), and a pretty restrictive size limit, this place has a long way to go, and by the time it gets there (if it gets there), the nexus will likely have several hundreds of mods uploaded.

They are making improvement to this site. If you aren't seeing them, it is because you aren't looking. Anything I create will be on this site. It might make it to other sites, but it will be here first.

There has already been some tweaking of the category stuff in the projects, and they're working on improving the search/filtering capabilities...as well as (hopefully) working on a more comprehensive keyword and/or rating system.

The goal IS to have this site be the comprehensive site for everything mod-related as that one-stop shop...but these things take time to get running. There was some functional work that was keeping things from moving forward but now that is mostly taken care of, they're starting to make the functional improvements.
