Hi, my Steam copy of Mass Effect crashes to desktop without any warning or crash report at one particular place at Virmire - after the Sovereign chat.
Tried different approaches (reduce graphics detail, resolution, played in windowed mode, XP compatibility mode, reload older save etc...) but nothing worked. Anyone experienced anything similar? Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Verify the game cache in Steam. (Right-click on it in Steam and select Properties. There'll be a "verify" button under one of the tabs in the window that pops up.)

Tried that. It said verificaion completed 100% succesfully, but the game still crashes

A corrupted install would still be my bet. So I'm afraid my recommendation now is to delete the install and re-download it all again from Steam. :/
