I recently re-installed NWN after a couple years out and I found myself struggling to play the game because it was on 10-12 FPS and has been driving me insane.
I did a fresh install, on a fresh install of windows 7 and I have done everything the way it should be, directly onto C:/ drive, no shortcuts and compatability mode etc.
I found a fix for the ranged weapon glitch, which basically replaced the ranged weapon models with the pre-patch version to remove the bow strings which was apparantly what was causing the problem. However the problem still persists whenever I come accross someone who is wearing a robe.
I'm just wondering is there a way to remove the robes or is there a problem elsewhere that needs to be fixed?
Unfortunately my system isn't up and running because I just moved house so I can't give you a detailed nwn.config or system specifications, only what I know from the top of my head.
OPERATING SYSTEM:Windows 2.6.1.7600CPU TYPE:AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000CPU SPEED (GHZ):3.02SYSTEM MEMORY (GB):4VIDEO CARD MODEL:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1024MBVIDEO CARD DRIVER:nvd3dum.dllDESKTOP RESOLUTION:1680x1050
It was a complete fresh install of Windows 7 64BIT with all updated drivers as of two weeks ago, I then installed a completely fresh neverwinter nights from it's original box and then the two expansions, updated to 1.69 and with the CEP.
I am able to run the latest games at max settings, with up to 4x AA at 60FPS+ and no trouble at all, it's just when I come accross someone wearing a robe my FPS drops dramatically in NWN.
If there's anymore information that you guys need to know I'll try let ya'll know.
Ranged Weapons and Robes cause a massive decline in FPS.

Conflict between NVidia fermi cards/drivers and NWN. There is a big thread about it here:

VIDEO CARD MODEL: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
This is a known problem with the NVIDIA GeForce 400+ card series. I'm having the same issues with my GTX 470. See this thread and the one linked on the NVIDIA forums for details.
Simply put, Neverwinter Nights is broken on any NVIDIA GeForce cards in the 400 series and up. A lot of us have been putting pressure on NVIDIA to fix this, and we at least seem to have managed to get their attention.

Is there any possible way to remove robes from being shown just so that we're able to play with some steady FPS? I'd rather everyone be invisible or naked and have high FPS than my game stuttering.
