a lot of states the age of constent is 16.  But there's typically time-periods...some states 16 is the age of consent but the other person has to be no more then x days/months from their 18th birthday for it not to be statutory rape.  And it varies.

however there is NO STATE where it's legal for a 30+ yr old to bang a 14 yr old.

None of the American States have the legal age of consent for females is eithe 16, 17 or 18. However for males in Arkansas, Iowa and Indiana the age of consent is 14 and in Colorado the male age of consent is 15. However such is only the case when the older partner below the age of either 18 or 21 (I forget) otherwise the age of consent is 16.

age of consent in mexico is 13, so there are some hillbilly states in the world still.
