In some part of America 14 is the le age of consent, at least for males. on average though for both genders it is 16, with some states also having the age of consent at 15, 17, and 18.

Isabella is just too much woman for some guys. In a way, Isabella is probably the type of women that would turn them down and ignore them in real life whereas women like Merrill is the type of women that usually pays more attention to them.

Merrill is the Tali of Dragon Age as she has a lot of youthfulness to her, very naive, somewhat submissive, and strokes your ego.

Isabella on the other hand is the Miranda of Dragon Age. She is very assertive, mature, decisive and challenges your ego.

I thought Isabella was the middle ground between Jack and  Miranda, assertive and direct (Miranda, and to a lesser degree Jack) and confident in pursuits of all things carnal (Jack).

Good point though, Merill would appeal to a more meek personality, While Isabella would be more appealing to people who appreciate good challenges.
