I so wanted a gay (male) love interest for my first playthrough. But I've just collected Merril and she's ADORABLE! Might just have to put Anders on ice for the next playthourgh...
EDIT - not got Isabella or Fenris yet though, so they could still impress me...

Oh man, I like the stock Bethany, but there are some iterations of her that are just..no. Just no.

Isabella has the better body, but Merril's personality is far better.

Isabella is the sexiest and funniest (her badmouthed comments are hilarious),
but Merril is cute and the kind of girl one would like to be with ; a lot less selfish and ****ty than Isabella.

I think Bioware did the right thing by including them in the game as they complement each other
and offer the player choice for every taste.

An honorable mention goes to Fenris. Although I'm not into guys he managed to get on my good side even though he was just being hateful towards mages most of the time ; he's the kind of person you would want to watch your back in a fight.

Me, too. Her comment is awesome "What else do we have magic for?". I love that little dig at the fact that in most fantasy worlds, magic is never used for something useful - just for combat.

Eh, difficult to say. Anders is my preferred LI but tall, glowing and broody has some attractive points.

As for the sexist LI character, I would guess that for a genuine bisexual (which I am not) it would be Fenris.
My personal "sexiest" is Isabela, if only because I'm not into skinny elves. Personality-wise, I find them all attractive except Anders. Poor Anders, I regretted that he wasn't romanceable in Awakenings and now he's so different.
