So I have been wondering if I have the war hound in my party what roll does the dog play? Would it be a tank? also will the dog level like the average character including having talant trees to put points in?

His leveling is treated like any other NPC in your party as far as I'm aware, though I couldn't tell you anything about specific talents. I'm sure they're along the lines of 'bite' and 'toughness', typical animal RPG skills.

Also, I don't think he can shoot a bow and arrow or cast lightning, so he will probably tank it.

Yeah all purpose melee seems the most likely role. I don't know if its still in or not but at one point they had different war paints you could add to him to get different effect, not sure what those are though.

First time I saw the "Dog" in a gameplay vid, I thought it was something else... Oh yeah! A molerat from Fallout!

Some vids show his stats... he doesn't seem to wear armor (duh) and only has moderate defense. So I'd say if he's a tank, he would likely need a ton of health.



In any case, I read somewhere that he does indeed tank well... in fact, I read that he is the best tank in the game. Go figure. Who knows if this opinion is still accurate, though. Guess you'll just have to wait a week for the game release, eh?

I bet tank or damage dealer depending on Talents and his collar and war paint.*i think thats his equipment or its called kadis.

I'm really hoping he is a tank. When I first saw the dog in the videos I was so pumped but I hadn't realized that he took up a party spot. This damn week is going so slowly.......
