During party banter, did  anyone else hear Anders ask Justice if he was worried that he could become demon because Demons are spirits who have become perverted by their desires?   Justice responded that he had no such desires.   I  never caught this during my first two playthroughs of Awakenings.  Clever forshadowing by Bioware.

Considering DA2 was well under development when DAA came out, they had to know which characters would be returning.
