I cannot buy elfroot from Varathorn because he hates me and I have no idea why. Not sure what I did, he worked fine, I went to do a quest, came back and he will no longer sell to me.

Considering he is basically the most important npc in the game (elfroot), this is game breaking, I can't heal my party well enough where I'm stuck.

Does anyone know the console command to debug the nature of the beast quest? I've tried every three letter combination I can think of (the other commands are like zz_urn_debug)

Barring that, maybe I could just make a module to reset the plot point, or I could create my own NPC to sell elfroot? I don't want to just give them to myself with a console command.

I figured out the debug command for this quest is runscript zz_ntb_debug, but it doesn't appear to have the ability to do what I need. Crap. I guess a mod is my only hope. They really shouldn't have made it so your ability to make health potions rests almost entirely on one guy that you can make hate you without even knowing what you did.

I didn't steal from people in the camp, but I did use my female PC to sleep with Cammen and then tell Gheyna about it, and he stopped trading with me. However, after I helped with the Halla, Athras, and Deygan sidequests, he warmed up to me again. Also in the Ironbark sidequest I gave it all to him instead of asking him to craft something.

I do agree though that Varathorn's shop is critical for anyone that wants to craft their own poisons or health potions. Its the single biggest reason I reloaded after exploring the 'kill zathrian, kill the elves" option.

Well, I figured out how to reset an Area..

Back up your SAVE! -- if you don't maker help you.

Load your save into the editor, -> SAVEGAME_AREALIST

You'll see a list of numbers from 1...x you'll have to hut down into each of them to find the area your looking for, then once you've found your area you want to reset delete it from the root of it's tree, eg.

Root
1
2
3
4 Select 4 and delete it

Save, and presto you've never been there, very ugly.. but that's the best I've got, why they didn't built a reset function into the game I'm not quite sure, maybe they thought people would use the function to grind levels who knows.

As said at the start! save your game, I had the toolset bomb on me when I tried it the first time.
