Not everyone is going to love DA2. I think most will enjoy it a lot, but not everyone enjoys the same things equally.

I think we all know an example of a really great book or restaurant or album or movie where almost everyone absolutely loved it, but one or two poeple didn't like it. That doesn't mean that the majority are right or the minority are wrong, just that not everyone appreciates the same things out of a product or service.

I would caution everyone not to react badly to a few negative reviews. I would also caution people not to overreact positively to a couple or really good reviews. I would suggest that you use a service liek Metacritic that collects all the reviews and averages the rating. Then, if it is mostly positive or negative, you will know that most people feel that way. This still doesn't mean that YOU will not like or dislike it (everyone is different), but it can help guide you.

We will be collecting teh reviews as they come in on the website. You can also check out sites like Metacritic  if you'd like.

Orgins got an 8 from them. Also Fable 3 got a 9.

I take reviews with a grain of salt.

OK, seriously? They gave a 9 to Fable 3?

Good God, they're even less reliable than GameTrailers!

Lol, I am here because I like people in this forum and I am gonna probs have plenty of fun here when DA2 is released.

And
don't prefer the Witcher since I haven't played it enough to have an
opinion of it. I have only installed it, played the first fight and
after that watched the hot red haired rouge walking. That was impressive
though!

What, you mean Triss? She's not a rogue, she's a sorceress. ^_^

Oh. I thought she is a rogue. Sorc will be fine too though.

To those of you wondering if this review is legit here is a statement via the GI staff...

Joe Juba states "Reviews hit on Tuesday for console and PC versions. You'll get my full report, good and bad, then!". He also adds "To be fair, most games' reviews go up on release day, even if it's a great game. Recent examples are Fight Night, Radiant Historia, and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It's rarer that we get to post reviews early." (pg. 9, comments in "10 things you need to know about DA2")

By that I for one have determined this supposed review to be fake... to all their own tho.

Do you know if this review is authentic or not? The OP hasn't returned with details.

EDIT: Yeah, apparently it's not.

HEY.... I liked Fable 3

You're entitled to that. :P

However, if even half of this is true (and apparently it really is)... then I'm very sorry for you. :crying:

Yes, yes it does. It also means that the majority is wrong too.

Uh. No. Fallout 3 outsold every eldar scrolls by magnitudes

I can't find exact sale figures but...

Oblivion : "over 3.1 million copies by January 2007"
Fallout 3 : "over 4.7 million units by the end of 2008"

I'm not seeing "orders of magnitudes" here, just better marketing, better technology/game and overall reflects the gaming industry sale increases. I predict Skyrim will blow these numbers by a much larger margin...

If thats the worst it gets, I think we'll all be in good shape. Its only a very short time for those who have dignity enough not to use pirated versions. Then we judge it for ourselves.

No. DAO got a 60 from Eurogamer, and we know how bad that game was. DAO has received scores that are less than a 90 and this is unforgivable.

"Not everyone likes this kind of game" isn't an argument that works in this situation, because Game Informer gave the first game a 9.0. That means that they think this game is worse than the last game.

One: this review is apparently bogus.

Two: They gave one version of DAO a 9, and another one an 8.

Three: The reviews are based entirely around the subjective opinion of one person. Ergo, it is complete BS, and is yes dependent entirely on whether or not the reviewer likes the game.

Even if this score is confirmed you don't know for which version of the game was the review made.
