In your opinion. Personally, I love FFXIII.

That was the worst game in the history of forever. It was an interactive movie with pretentious characters a horrible combat system and no free movement, just a complete straight line. But now we're getting OT.

I respect Game Informer but considering they gave Fable III a 9 I am warry of their reviews of RPG

To be honest, GI gave a 8 to DAO on console and a 9 to the PC version.

Yeah, that needed to be cleared up - a lot of that was due to the lack of pause-and-play and graphical issues on the console iterations. Unfortunately, that was the one I rented way back when. Also, the next issue of GI hasn't arrived yet, and there's no official review online from GI. So where is the source, exactly?

I trust GI for the most part, but some of the review can come of as bias. Like the console review of Origins, which honestly came off as a bit PC bias.

Well, Super MArio Galaxy is not a tenth of the artistic masterpiece that Shadow of the Colossus is, but as a game, and purely as that, Galaxy never drops the ball. There's no messing around, no frustration, little to no repetition, non-stop 3D platforming at its prime. While I absolutely adore Shadow of the Colossus, it is demanding on the player, time-wise, emotionally and patience-wise. Galaxy is accessible and fun throughout. I do believe it is overall a better game than Shadow of the Colossus, for it does an incredible job at being challenging and rewarding from the moment you pick up the controller till you put it down, while SotC demands investment.

Besides, Galaxy's gameplay is more finetuned, though not as epic in scale and innovative.

 Again, an Opinion. I liked the game. Surely does not deserve a 9. more like a 8.5. I'm personally looking towards the release of FF XIII-2 soo....

Here's the thing, I really liked the console verison, it was far from perfect but I played the hell out of it, Game informer gave this a higher review, this is a postive sign to me.

For what it's worth, this thread's creator seems to suggest that the review was for one or both of the console versions.  Apparently "they keep comparing it to the PC" version (see the OP's post on page 2).

I haven't seen the magazine, so I can't vouch for the score.  But I guess soon enough we'll be playing and forming our own opinions.

I don't dislike FF XIII but I can say that it's NOT an RPG. At best some kind of combat game with some RPG elements in it.

Well last I checked Microsoft blessed the nation with Gears of  Wars 1 and 2 so their opinion equals fact and I mean that dearly.OXM gave it a 9 so I know Dragon Age 2 will be staright pimping.
