Let me add my thanks too. Good luck with the companion armor. If you crack that one, you will be my official hero and I will name my next child after you ;-)
Really? You would call your child: Daywalker03 ...? That's...Special I guess... *

Mage players that have played the demo and complained about the Heal Cooldown, your frustration has been felt and acted upon; I've tweaked it and the mod is at this location DA2 Heal Spell cooldown tweak. Please test it in the demo and give me some feedback on how you think it should be adjusted.
kudos to the mod bro! I dunno why bioware wants us to spam potions like it was some grindfest mmo
They don't. The idea is to try to avoid taking a lot of damage.

Inside joke, probably in bad taste and upon reflection, not even funny to the few who get it.
However, you do have to admit, "Daywalker" would be one cool name!

Honestly, as long as marquiseondore manages to port her hairstyles over to DA 2, and the community works out how to add custom armor to the game, toolset or no, I'll be a happy camper.
As far as actual convenience mods go, if I had to pick just one I'd like to see ported to DA 2, it's autoloot. It's amazing how much better a game is when you don't have to click the loot window a thousand times a playthrough.
You can press R to auto-loot in DA2. Tap it many times and you will see your Hawke running to grab everything she/he can see. =)
Edit: Well it works in the demo at least...

(But kudos for making it.)
But oh noes, because, what if heal cooldown is part of a larger picture? Maybe there's a reason, within the overall context of combat that it is the way it is.
Sure, I know, if you don't like the mod, don't load the mod. But what if I was initially frustrated with combat because it was unfamiliar, loaded the mod, and then never really understood how the balance worked as the game progressed? Wouldn't that, like, totally undermine getting my ass kicked and learning how to play within DAII's rules? (Having said that, I do like a good ass kicking. It is a personal preference, so I wouldn't want to necessarily inflict it on others who genuinely want 10 second heals.)
Also, isn't the demo balanced differently to the final game?
OK, I'll take a chill pill. It just occurs to me that maybe balance mods are better after the game has been released for a little bit, so we can get a fuller picture of how it is really balanced.
(But really, I can recognise that this is an achievement, and it is based on the demo, and I don't mean disrespect.)

I'm thinking about getting this for pc instead of my ps3. Except I have a mac. Would adding these mod files be the same as a windows pc?
It should be.

That's kind of funny. So many complaints about the game being "dumbed down" because of console users and the first mod is a cooldown for how often you can heal.
Awesome...
This.
The one minute cooldown heal is now spammable? Why not just implement an "I WIN" button? Instead of a limited heal for tactical use, you can just mindlessly spam heal your way to victory. The people downloading this mod but complaining the game is being dumb down are hypocrites... or just dumb.

10 seconds is kind of overpowered, if it's designed to be 60 seconds. I'd have reduced it to 30 seconds or something.
Cue in, "nightmare is way too easy, my party never dies ? WTF Bioware ???"
@OP: I actually appreciate what you're doing. Care to shed some light on the how's ?
EDIT: I mean, how'd you get the base file ? I thought ERF 3.0 was still locked down ?
BTW, shouldn't you have overriden only the ability you modified, instead of overriding everything ?

I wonder if this game is even "mod-friendly" at all. Since Bioware is moving away from the more traditional RPG to a mindless action button masher, I bet it will be difficut to impossible to gain access to the other characters via any kind of mod.
The game was streamlined for a reason. Dragon Age II can not say its the "spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate" like the last game was. It's more like the successor of God of War. It's an action game now and character customization is not needed in an action game...
