As far as I'm concerned, PC is the only way to play.

I would play on my PC if it wasn't a hunk of junk. PS3 it is then!

PC. The rig I put together in anticipation of DA:O is still (without modification) in the "recommended" range, so I'm declaring this a win. I have a PS3, but I prefer PC gaming when possible. No disrespect to consoles: I'm just not very experienced!

lol, I feel the same way when it comes to PC gaming, I am just so uncoordinated when it comes to using a mouse and keyboard.  When my boyfriend watches over my shoulder when I play anything on the computer he makes fun of me, no joke.  But then when I hold a controller in my hands that's when I feel at home, we've always had consoles in my house when I was growing up, so I guess it's only natural for me.

Do you know if we would be able to use x360 or ps3 controller.  Because I l ike the idea of just laying back instead of sitting up to play.

I know for some PC games that you can use the Xbox controller. As far as DA2 goes, I am not sure on that one. For PS3 controllers, I honestly have no idea. I like to lay back and play my games too, it feels much more relaxing to me too.

I built my first water-cooled PC last year (ego stroke: i7 920 @ 4.0 GHz; Radeon HD 5870; 6 GB DDR3; OS and games on SSDs). Hopefully, this game will have it pushing some pixels. Hooray for high resolution textures! The new lighting effects look exciting, but I'm sure it will look fine on the consoles. :P

My ds of course ;)

No but really. I'm still debating whether to get on console. I played the original on console and never played it on pc.  I played the pc demo and ran alot smoother than on my 360.  But I have my saved game on my 360 so idk! What should I do!:crying:

There's no time to waste! You must do another complete DAO playthrough on your pc! You better get started right away, unless you live in Europe ($##@) and you've got to wait another 4 days... *sigh*

As for the OP's question: I'll be playing the pc version

PC! I don't own any consoles, so it never really was a question for me.

Seeing as DA2's release is almost here, it seems like a good time to check to see what systems everyone will be playing DA2 on, partly for my own curiosity.

I, personally, will be playing my copy on my Xbox.  I have arthritis (keyboards are bad, ergonomically speaking, for people with arthritis) and have a crappy PC as my reason for using Xbox.  It doesn't hurt that I just recently bought a really nice new TV too :P.

Here is the link, and it should open in a new window social.bioware.com/605282/polls/15861/

Thanks a million guys!  I know I'm excited, and I wish I could play it right when I go to gamestop to get my copy at midnight, but I'll be at work when midnight rolls around so I'll have to pick it up when they open that day at 10am.  Damn night shift :(

I've always been a PC gamer, so PC for sure.

Xbox 360, there's just something special about putting in a new game and a handful of people on your friends list ask you, 'dragon age 2 any good man?'

I'm doing 360 this time around. I agree that the PC graphics are better than the console versions. But the console graphics are more than good enough.

I have three reasons for playing the 360 version.

Main reason is that I liked the controls better on the 360. The PC ones felt way clunkier by comparison.

Second reason, I'd much rather stare at my 32" high def tv than stare at my 22" monitor.

Third reason is I can play my tv as loud as I want, but my pc's subwoofer shakes the house even with the bass turned all the way down. This was fine before I needed glasses cause I'd just wear my headset, but my headset pushes my ears into my glass frames and after a few hours start to throb. :P

Xbox 360. It's what I played Origins on, and I just like it better... I played the PC demo so I could mess with the CC, and I hated it, it was terrible for me.

I like being able to curl up on the couch with my controller.

I hope this speaks in favor of a Toolset. Remember one claiming consoles take up most of the gamers in his war against a toolset.

I kinda wish there was some way that an Xbox or a PS3 could have a toolset, that would be cool. I don't know how they would do that, but if they could, I would LOVE to have access to one.
