How many of you will actually use the default Hawke?

I would just make a few minor cosmetic changes to the defaults. Most noteably Lady!Hawke's eyes. I prefer green or brown eyes over blue, especially for dark haired characters.

EVE Online has a great character creator. However, after you make your character, all you see of them is a 20x20 portrait.
They have full bodied avatars now I hear.

EVE Online has a good character creation system now, too. Hopefully in the future they'll all be on par with APB.
I've heard good things about EVEs character creation from people that tested it, great facial construction and very well done hair simulation (aka hair physics).
Been a few years since I played EVE, but I don't recall even having a dude to customize, just a ship. Then again about all I did in that game was mostly leave it afk skill training while I was at work.
They've been overhauling it majorly, soon space stations and probably in the future planets.
The new character creation is so you have a visual representation to walk around these places with.

Right. You make a full body avatar with great facial customization.
And then you get a 20x20 portrait of the face in the game. You never see anything else.

The males voice is just so bad.... and that beard doesn't help. Female yes runs kinda funny, but I rather see than hear male hawke for 40 hours.

For now... but the new character creator was only the first step towards the upcoming addition of player avatars that can be used on space stations.Maria Caliban wrote...

Anyway, I haven't played EVE for about 6 years, so I'm more interested in the technology's ramifications for "World of Darkness", CCP's other upcoming MMO. An MMO based on the OWoD? Yes!

They say that won't be implemented until at least 2013.Gill Kaiser wrote...

I wonder why they picked the Old World of Darkness? I can't imagine how they'd get the magic system to work in an MMO.Anyway, I haven't played EVE for about 6 years, so I'm more interested in the technology's ramifications for "World of Darkness", CCP's other upcoming MMO. Custom Lady Hawke for me ♥
I'll do you one better. I only play games with a character creator.

Though I will create a custom character, I have always done so in games with a CC, so I won't stop doing it this time around
It would have been nice if you could input face codes like in Mass Effect 2, it would have made sharing faces a lot easier (there are some great looking faces for Mass Effect 2 out there, better than anything I managed to come up with).

I LOVE Marian's hair style and it's rather unfair it's not available to customs.
I will definately be using a custom M!hawke though. Garret hawke is just... no thanks... no thanks...

You cant just change one aspect of the default face. Change one thing, and you have to change everything unfortunately.

I like to play with character creation as a whole. It is part of the fun for me in games like this. Also it is in away the only real creative input I will have in the whole game, so yes I'm going to use it (even so I'm not really good at that kind of arty stuff
Lastly, even if it would just be a small tweak to the default appearance it would still make it more my own character then using a default one.
So all in all, while I'm not adverse to using a default appearances I will be using custom ones
