You cant just change one aspect of the default face.  Change one thing, and you have to change everything unfortunately.

Just like ME and ME2.  If you change one aspect of the "default" face, you have to change every aspect.

Yea, this annoys the hell outta me too. Though, I heard that you can 'unlock' it by playing the game once with the default face. Probably not true, but hey, it's a glimmer of hope, possibly...maybe...not really...

I'm pretty sure you can in ME? I seem to remember using a default female face but with a few minor alterations.

Ugh. Not me. If I'm happy with default Hawke, I should be happy with any predefined characters like Alpha Protocol, Assasin Creed 2, Darksiders, etc.. But I'm not. My characters must be sexy which mean they cannot be ugly. My knight characters cannot become badass like Evio in Assasin Creed. It make me hate them instead of loving them. So I will design my own characters faces no matter what or I cannot play the game for more than 15 minutes before tossing it to dustbin.

Anyways it's bad to have 2 days off work (today and tomorrow) and here in Europe the game will be released on Friday, when I'll be at work! :< dammit

I've got to say, I never went with any of the default Shepards or Wardens. I always built the character.....but the appearance of Hawke (both genders) is exactly to my liking.

....except I tend to enjoy older male characters (which some Origins in DA1 ruined, how can I be a balding gray-haired Warden when my dad calls me Pup?)

So yeah. I assume I'm going to run with the default Hawke at least once.

Sorry to hear that ... bummer .

For me on the other hand it is the otherway around as I can pick the game up from my local store on my way home on a Friday and got all weekend for "wasting" my time on a game.

oh my, that eve online character creation puts EVERY other character creations ever developed to shame, so thorough and in depth. Haven't had my hands on it though, but from what i see, i looks to tumble everyone else with a cc. Anyways on topic, i will be customizing my Rogue, but my mage will be the default male hawke.

Heh...
There'll be the ones who used the blood smear and those who didn't, then there'll be those who tried to be original by tilting the portrait a bit to the left, or facing the other way. Plenty of original forum avatars to be seen post-launch.

Personally, I already have more character ideas than I'll actually be able to play... Why must I choose
