Default Hawke's beard was modelled on Mike Laidlaw no doubt. :-)

I don't care enough about pre-gens to modify them. Well except Shepard because his default looks like a serial killer.

Gona go through my first WT with this good looking devil. Seriously, the original Hawke ((Male)) looks like he's pass thirty... A little old to still be living at the farm with mom and the siblings no!?

Personally i'll use the default Hawk for the first two playthroughs of the game .. i like the looks of both the female and the male hawk default characters .. much better than in Mass Effect .. i couldn't bring myself to use the default male/female characters in ME .. male Shepard default specifically can really be creepy sometimes.

He only looks good in CG sequences.

But in-game He can be damn creepy

That's a hawt Hawke. I definitely like DA2's character creation a lot more than DAO's, at the very least.

I never play as the default when a CC is available.

Normally I would 100% agree with you Baal.  I love the CC!    After first seeing Marian and then continous follow up pics I grew really attached to her.  Playing her in the Demo just cemented my affection further.

Plus knowing my luck I will create an amazing Hawke, but the rest of the family end up looking like Ghouls!! ^_^

I'm not too blown away with the CC in DA2, so I'll use the default Hawke (male and female) for my first two playthroughs.
Some CC presets also makes my family look stupid.

**** - the male.Shep is the creepiest protagonist ever, esp. when he is trying to be charming: he should just spray himself with teargas before even opening his mouth or before any attempt to even smile.

I'll have nightmares due to this.

I think they are trying to wean people off CC so they can have one character model, probably 2 because even though only 20% of people played Femshep (ME2stats) people would scream very loudly if you removed the option of a female I imagine.

With the "Legend" segments a non canon Hawke makes very little sense outside of player vanity.

probably go with default fem for the first, as this wont be my 'canon', carry to DA3 run.

Will use custom once hair mods and cool presets arrive on the scene

First playthrough will be a customized male Hawke warrior for me... one I can relate to.

But should I give in to a second playthrough, it'll definitely be default Marian Hawke as a rogue and going the humorous / snarky dialogue path.

Yesterday the thought came up to me how cool it would be to have both Hawkes simultaneously in the game. That way, the Hawke family would rock even more.

I still have to see whether or when I'll start a second playthrough because I usually grow attached to my first playthrough and want that one to be perfect and include all my preferred decisions. But having that gorgeous Marian Hawke in the story is mighty tempting.

Considering the Black Emporium lets you shift and change at will, I'll probably start by first playthrough with a default Hawke.

Unless I find something I really like in Character Creator.

i'll customize my hawk. Don't get me wrong i like premade hawk but i like to make the way my character looks, makes it feel more like my own character.

Savegame edit, paste Marian's head on Bethany or Garett's on Carver. :wizard:

Except for the unnatural eye colors I adore absolutely both Hawkes. And since you can neither change mHawke's yellowish eyes nor fHawkes fake blue eyes..I will just have to get used to those.
The only sad thing is that I'm so in love with the looks of default Hawke that I will use the default looks at least twice, risking that the characters end up being mostly the same...

Still on the fence about this. I really like the beard and hair on the default Hawke, but I'm kind of turned off by the amber brown eyes. Then again, I also really like to make 'my own' character in RPGs, so i might use the character creator. Time will tell.

Three more days for me...

I actually really like default Lady Hawke. Haven't decided if she's my first or second playthrough, though.

Given that 80% of ME 2 users picked the default face, I wonder if we'll see that in DA II as well?

If I can help it, I'll never use the default look. But if it's anything like Mass Effect, I may have to use the male one to have a character that doesn't look like he has Downs.
