 I just bought the ultimate edition for PS3 a couple days ago because I played the demo to DAO2....I really liked it and was a little bummed that i didnt get this game a long time ago...Thanks BioWare for the release of SE I  been playing every day when i can and learning a lot more that i think i messed up everything lol....I was looking for some help on a couple things....I cant figure out where you get runs...buy them or find them?...I think i sold some but dunno if was able to pick them up yet..Im only 8hours in and level 7 for my party...I found the dwarf that enchants and I cant figure out how to put runes in a sword....A Lil confused.....HELP PLEASE....I think i didnt set my guy set up right for my main character should i just restart...I didnt realize all the logistics in picking the right path for a character greatly can help them lol....If you need an answers to a question about where im at please post....I will check daily thanks Sorry Im a newb

Level 7 human warrior I believe..cant figure out how to check
Attributes-
Strength 22
Dex 18
Will- 18 (i have some type of equip that gives bonus)
Magic 11
cunning 14
Constitution 18 (i have some type of equip that gives bonus)

Skills-
Trap making level 1
Combat training level 4

Talents-

Warrior - threaten.....taunt
Weapon and shield- Shield Pummel....Shield Wall......Shield Block...most of the time i dont use anything but shield pummell....i just want to beat ass lol..

you should find ruins throughout the game, and some are better than others, i generally find the best ruins in ruined/old places such as tombs or the village of haven. The DLCs are good for ruins too...

...Also you can buy ruins in certain shops, like the dwarf next the the enchanter, the better ones are rarer and more expensive...

i bought large chipped ice crystal and large chipped lightning crystal thinkin the were runes...I cant use them on any of my party..dont even know what they are used for lol...i bought stuff i shouldn't have bought and its killing me right now

These are for Shale, who is a party member. You just have to pick her up first.

Is it possible to sell the dragon armor i got with the ultimate edition and reinstalling over and over to get money ?

No idea on that last question, but I did want to say your character build looks fairly sensible. No reason to scrap it and start again (unless you really want to for some particular reason). Though I recommend pumping Dexterity for a while (until you have enough for all the weapon and shield talents) and then either Strength or Dexterity to max depending on whether you want to be a more powerful hitter, or harder to be hit.
Runes are found scattered around like loot, or are available to buy from some merchants. To equip them to a weapon, first you need to make sure the weapon has rune slots. Some don't. (when you select a weapon so it tells you its properties, there will be one, two or three small boxes at the bottom - or none. These are rune slots.) It's quite possible you don't have any weapons with rune slots at this point in the game. When you have both a weapon and a rune, simply go and see the dwarf who does enchanting and you'll be able to attach it. It's a pretty simply drag-rune-onto-weapon job. And don't forget they're not permanent, so you can drag them off again later.
In Awakenings you'll be able to make runes. But not in Origins.

Thanks for the info...yea i have a couple weapons that can take runes...just havent got any yet...Im trying to figure out what guys to use in my party and to use them in the right way....Its all a learning process for my first RPG, but im digging it

These are for Shale, who is a party member. You just have to pick her up first.

I guess shale is in a dlc pack...i got the LE edition so i have them all, but my question is can i get him without losing my saved data?

Shale is in a DLC pack - the Stone Prisoner. You can do it from within your Origins campaign. You'll need to travel to Sulcher's Pass to begin the quest.

Sweet! thanks so much caradoc2000! So im guessing all of those dlc packs show up on the map itself?

Yes they do & they are colour coded yellow so that you can tell them apart.

The DLC map icons have a different color than the normal ones.
