If the graphics suck me in, its good as an example, I just installed neverwinter nights, because I want to play a good rpg and haven't played it yet, and I am enjoying it allot.
The graphics don't bother me at al, feels allot like the time that I played Final Fantasy 7, my brain just makes it more beautiful than it really is

Graphics are there in my view to support the gameplay.. Then again I'm an oldie who grew up with vector graphics and sprites. Too many games now concentrate on graphics to the detriment of gameplay. Same goes for films.

I actively play Minecraft with a buddy of mine more than any other game, and I have more fun on that than most games. That game has like 16bit graphics.

I thought the graphics were fine in Origins. Not the best, but acceptable. DA2 looks beautiful, still not the best, but still. I think Skyrim will be a lot better graphic wise, but I don't buy a game because of graphics. I love Bioware and Dragon Age for the storytelling and the world and the characters I love and care for and the characters that created such a rage I've never felt before. (Vaughn and Isolde).

Everybody cares about graphics, it's just how much you can tolerate.

DA:O was. . . ugly, but not ugly enough to distract from the overall experience. I think the only time bad graphics are an issue, are when they cheapen the experience, or distract from it.Though in all honesty, the last time I've seen that happen is in Bubsy 3D, which was crap to begin with, and it's graphics just added to the crap.

DA2 is. . . still kind of ugly, but I don't see it killing the mood. Then again, I play games like Valkyria Chronicles; which look amazing, and play fantastic. . . so I'm spoiled. But I also play Disgaea, which means I really just care for how fun a game is to play.

We all can agree with that but if a game doesn't have the best graphics available it doesn't mean the game is bad. An example would be DA:O, the graphics imo were pretty bad, low framerate on consoles etc. But the story/gamplay made the game good.

minecraft is 16-bit only in its style, the processing needed for it would destroy anything made in the 90's

the game looked pretty good on PC... i guess it depends on which camp you're in, if you're a console player this is an upgrade, if you're a PC player this is a major downgrade
