Always found the higher the graphic standard the more it only takes one bad graphical thing to destroy the entire atmosphere.

That is true, sadly, but it's something you learn to live with. Sometimes good and age enduring art style can do save the game for me, but usually not.

I'm not too fussed about the graphics. I'm more bothered about the actual game content, as in dialogue/interaction, combat etc.

same here . The only thing im fussy about is if they try to do good graphics but have terrible animations , animations are important to me. From the demo it seems i got nothing to worry about.

A wise man once said 'Pros don't care about graphics, noobs do'

The pros require that for best frame rate to gain an advantage at online games. Plus overly good graphics can distract you from enemy players...
But i do agree noobs will always care about graphics since they dont care about gameplay. Gameplay is far more important and 3d graphics of origins at medium or low was fine for me, high had a small delay which was annoying

You're not alone. I don't understand people whining about the graphics at all. I played the demo on the medium setting, it ran smoothly, I was happy and didn't think things looked bad at all.

Pretty graphics don't make a game better. If the gameplay and story suck, it doesn't matter if you can see every pore of the boring NPC's skin while he's giving out boring quests.

Not at all. I could care less about graphics, the only thing that engages me when playing a game is the story, characters and emotional depth. In fact Bioware makes the only games I genuinely love playing and I'm so happy and thankful to my cousin for introducing me to them through Dragon Age: Origins. I have never ever been so excited for any game sequals like I have with Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 in my life. I only play games like Call of Duty if I'm playing with friends or in a bad mood (and this is coming from a console player).

Nier taught me that graphics don't matter when it comes to gameplay. I loved that game.

The Dragon Age II graphics don't bother me at all. There are some problems but nothing important.

I am sure that with the texture pack download, the textures in game are going to be very nice. JBTextures in DAO made a huge difference and were just gorgeous on my HD lcd. I'm not in the least worried because I thought the demo which was an old build was fine. I guess I'm one of those who is more into the story, characters and combat than the art.

I don't care how fancy and eye catching graphic would be, only thing needed is that the graphic and art direction fits the game's own world and settings.

Game play, story, character >>>>>>> Graphic.

** Many game dev & players cared too much about graphic now, that's why many games looks better than the games from last gen but doesn't play any better at all.

While I do like good graphics, I'm more concerned with the art style and design. And gameplay of course, nothing beats good gameplay.

I do care about graphics. They can make or break the atmosphere of a game.

I don't care that much about how MODERN the graphics are. I still consider some older games to have better graphics than modern games that have higher resolution... everything, and probably about a billion more polygons everywhere too.

I still appreciate graphics getting better technically, but the most important thing is how well they work for the game.

I like and want good graphics as long as it's optimized to run well and not require some top of the line PC to run it. However, graphics are not the most important. I am playing the game for the story and characters.

I like graphics to have a good, consistent graphic tyle but hate to see them waste prgrammer time and cumputing power just to do super realistic graphics for no good gaming reason, just to show off. I generally hate weather effects if they have no impact on gameplay. Waste, waste waste.

Not to deck a daft horse in the face with a lead pipe, but what's more bothersome about games like Assassin's Creed? Texture pop ups? Or gameplay (technically a lack there of)? Obviously graphics isn't the most important aspect of a game to a gamer...

Your not alone bud I think it looks just fine and with DX11 in the game it'll look pretty damn good.

I don't care too much about good graphics. They definitely add to the experience. I myself don't have very high standards because I have not played some of these "amazing graphics" games out there, and I think DA2 looks very nice. Sadly enough I think the best graphics I have seen in a game are in Final Fantasy 13, and I know there are better looking games out there =). If they can balance it with a good story etc and good gameplay, then sure, but some of these pretty games are just that from what I gather...pretty to look at, but not much else.

Bloody hell, I actually thought it was a real life picture with a HUD superimposed over it.  I was going to make a joke when someone said it was from real life about how I had never heard of it.  Um, maybe I do need to get out more...

Dragon Age 2 has a nice stylized look. I don't care for graphics unless they totally su*k which is not the case with DA2.
