When I try to import an ME1 save I get the error "a sign-in change occured, sign out to continue". If I sign out, it tells me that the storage unit has changed and to replace it.
The careers I try and import were all created on a different console and hard drive. My new console is a slim, so I can't simply replace the original hard drive. I have tried going from my last save and beating the game again on my current console/hard drive (twice) but this has no effect. I'm also pretty sure that all my DLC is present and all licenses are transferred to this console as well. I've also tried clearing the hard drive's cache, to no effect.
The only other option I can think of is to complete a new playthrough entirely on this console, though I would rather not have to resort to this.

Managed to get it to work by signing into xbox live, importing the save (which worked for some reason) and then continuing offline.

Also, since you switched consoles, check out this site to find out where your licenses are.
If you want you can transfer them to your Slim, any content that is connected to your older consoles will prevent you from playing offline with your new console.
