Game cancelled my pre-order and won't say why? :o

I'm feeling a little miffed as I got, out of the blue today, an email about my game pre-order. I pre-ordered the game to get the complete version, as Bioware forces everybody else to buy DLC seperatley and I wanted to get it with the Exiled Prince rather than have to pay extra.
Game gave me my 29.99 back and told me that they could not disclose why I wasn't able to get the game, just that I wasn't. They said I was welcome to pre-order again, but because the signature edition was limited, now I can only get the regular version.
I know it's a bit OCD (well...very OCD) and a stupid thing to be a bit cross about, but there you go I just have this weird desire to own the full game and not have bits of content missing. Does anybody get simular messages? Any inkling why Game decided to cancel my pre-order? I think I'm going to have to wait for the GOTY edition or something simular now, rather than have to pay loads and loads extra for DLC.

Not sure it would help you get the SE, but they *have* to know how you were treated concerning a pre-order of *their* game from this company that did this to you.
I know I'd send them Emails (both the store and bioware) and keep trying to get the SE, until you either get it, or were told that you *really* could not get it from any means.
Keep trying man. I hope you can resolve this to your satisfaction. With proof in hand, I can't see how they'd refuse to help.

My guess is someone screwed up the order, and your's wasn't included, and they don't want to admit fault, for liability purposes, so they're telling you it was cancelled instead.

I'm going to blame EA because they are the route cause of everything going wrong.

Its just bizarre. I have never had any problem before pre-ordering a game from them. It really makes me frustrated simply becaause If indeed I need to go buy DA2 again, I'll need to shell out for Sebastion DLC, the Soundtrack etc.

I even remember when they sent me a game on the wrong platform then refused to refund me or exchange because "I had clicked the wrong order". That was swiflty rectified after sending a strongly worded letter, but still... that was the day I took my business elsewhere.
They're too big for their own good. ShoptTo.net for me.

Seen it happen before, i used to work at a game-shop as a part-timer 5 years ago. In the fall a rpg was released, i think Kingdom Hearts 2, someone pre-ordered the one with the shiny box and it came in the store, we only got one because someone specialy pre-ordered it and has asked it to be delivered to our store, so he could pick it up.

I find disgracefull what they did, the customer came once before the game was delivered and i talked with him, he sounded very kind and it felt like the store gave him the finger.
Anyway, my co-worker sended him a e-mail that his order could not come in (never gave the reason why) and if the customer wanted to order it agian another time blahblahblah crap.
It just sucks when something like that happen.

After reading lots of threads like this from European customers, I was extremely worried today when I saw that I had an email from Game with an update on my preorder. Luckily they were informing me that my debit card was approved and my Signature Edition is being prepared. I'm also getting it for £25, because the price dropped twice since I preordered...
So, while I'm not in the same boat, I empathise with those of you who had it cancelled. That must suck.

So it's a bit lame for you really. Then again a lot of people seem to have had issues.

Saldy there's nothing Bioware can really do mate, this is out of their hands. Though in future less DLC might be nice, just release everything at once :3
But seriously thanks for all the empathy I appreciate it. There's not a lot I can do about it really, I emailed Game but they've not gotten back to me yet so who knows if I'll get any help from them. I think I'll wait for the Ultimate Edition of DA2 which'll inevetably come out a year or so from now.
